Generative AI: Potential but not easy to apply in business

SAP and AWS have launched the AI Co-Innovation Program to develop generative AI solutions. The AI Co-Innovation Program represents the two companies' shared vision of helping partners identify, build, and deploy generative AI applications that align with their ERP applications.

By combining SAP’s enterprise technology with AWS’s generative AI services, along with the deep expertise of both parties – including teams of AI experts, consultants, and solution architects – the program will deliver a comprehensive solution to support customers in their implementation journey.

AI Co-Innovation will include dedicated engineering resources, cloud service credits, and more to support the development, testing, and deployment of specialized generative AI applications.

The program also enables partners to rapidly build and scale generative AI applications using the latest generative AI services and tools from Amazon Bedrock, including large language models (LLMs) such as Amazon Nova and Anthropic Claude in AI Foundation on the SAP BTP platform.

In addition, this announcement expands the scope of the partnership between AWS and SAP to help customers, including Hyundai Motor Group, Moderna, and Zurich Insurance Group, modernize and migrate SAP applications to AWS to take advantage of the availability, flexibility, and scalability of cloud computing. Running SAP applications on AWS allows customers to easily combine their data with generative AI solutions in a cost-effective way. Accenture and Deloitte are among the first partners to collaborate with AWS and SAP through this program, allowing them to accelerate the development and deployment of generative AI solutions to solve complex challenges.
