Sounds from pottery: Leading the public back to the memory of indigenous culture

GOm show – a music project by the Dan Do artist group with most of its instruments made from ceramics – is a wordless performance that still leads viewers back to the memories of indigenous culture, expressing a slice of the Vietnamese soul.

From the gentle tapping of an earthenware jar to the clear, crisp sound of a ceramic bowl... these seemingly silent objects suddenly speak for themselves.

Through two shows in Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City last July, the public was transported into a world rich in sensation, where layers of sound awakened the imagination, evoked cultural memories, and guided listeners through diverse yet unified sonic spaces.
