Handsome and multi-talented 'Gen Z teacher'

Chau Nguyen Tung Son is a 4th year student of the Faculty of Literature, Hanoi National University of Education. He has cherished the dream of becoming a Literature teacher since childhood, constantly strived to study and won many awards from Literature competitions for excellent students in secondary and high school.

Third prize in the Literature competition for excellent students in Nghe An province and an Encouragement prize in History helped him get admitted directly to the Literature Department, Hanoi National University of Education .

Son said that it was the Literature competitions that helped him “reach his dream” and he was able to support and tutor Literature for many students. Many students from this special class achieved 9+ in the National High School Exam, becoming valedictorians and salutatorians. “Son’s Literature class started from then and is still active today, and many students have succeeded from this course,” he said.

“I love and pursue studying Literature because I believe that learning and teaching Literature can always make me more refined every day. Thanks to studying Literature, I have good communication skills, a richer soul, and more love, so I am even more motivated to spread positive values to those around me,” Son said.

During nearly 4 years of university, the " gen Z teacher" continuously achieved good academic results at school, most recently in the first semester of his 4th year, his GPA was 3.25.

He also participated in pedagogical skills competitions, extracurricular activities, and youth union/association activities.

Son shared that he wants to become a new generation teacher who is modern, dynamic and always "standard - creative - pioneering" like the slogan of Hanoi National University of Education.

“I not only want to become a good teacher but also a hero who inspires young people. I want to do that starting with small literature lessons…”, Son said.

I think that when becoming a teacher in the integration era, I need to harmonize and promote the traditional values of the teaching profession and update modern knowledge and skills to be able to convey in each teaching session, bringing excitement to learning and exploring to students; as well as inspiring and setting an example of action", Chau Nguyen Tung Son.

Media Ambassador

Chau Nguyen Tung Son is an active male student, constantly challenging himself to improve himself by trying his hand in many other fields such as MC and model .

He was once in the Top 20 of the Vietnam International MC Contest; champion of the modeling contest The Star Glory Model Vietnam; 1st runner-up of the 2024 Elegant Student contest organized by the Central Agencies' Youth Union in collaboration with the Vietnam Women's Academy.

Along with his handsome looks and impressive academic and activity achievements, Son once left his mark in the Elegant Student contest with his talented performance of the "Chau Be Bac Le" spirit medium performance.

He shared: "My family has a long tradition of worshipping the Mother Goddess, and I myself am a young shaman, a follower of the Mother Goddess religion." Through his talent performance in the competition, he hopes to spread the beauty of traditional national culture and convey a message to young people to always preserve, protect, honor, and promote this cultural beauty.

After the contest, Son received a lot of love from the audience and participated in many activities and events as an ambassador and inspirational figure, such as sharing about learning and teaching literature and volunteering .

Recently, Chau Nguyen Tung Son is a media ambassador who contributed to spreading the volunteer program of donating "Nurturing Bookcases" in response to the Winter and Spring volunteer programs in Tuyen Quang organized by the LITTLE HEARTS Community Volunteer Club - a member of the National Volunteer Network (National Volunteer Center - Central Youth Union); the program "Tet to complete the heart and peace", of the Law Faculty Youth Union, National Economics University...

Revealing his near-future plans, Son hopes to teach Literature at a high school after graduating from university. He is also nurturing his own community projects as the first runner-up of the Elegant Student Pageant. "I want to spread the image of a passionate, idealistic, and compassionate young man as the first runner-up of the Elegant Student Pageant," Son said.

"When it comes to Tet, I think of the reunion scene with all my relatives. After a year away from home studying and working, I am always eager to return home with everyone.
