Britain opposes sending troops to Ukraine . British Foreign Secretary David Cameron recently opposed the West sending troops to Ukraine, even for training purposes.

Training missions should be conducted abroad. Sending troops to Ukraine would give Russia more ammunition ,” Mr Cameron said.

Mr. Cameron emphasized that Britain has trained 60,000 Ukrainian soldiers in this way, and the effect has been extremely positive. According to Foreign Secretary Cameron, Ukraine needs more long-range weapons, and London is ready to cooperate with Berlin to transfer more Taurus missiles to Kiev.

China outlines Russia's conditions for talks to end conflict . China and Switzerland are working behind the scenes to invite Russia to Swiss-hosted talks to end the conflict between Russia and Ukraine.

China’s special envoy for Eurasia, Li Hui, told EU officials that the summit should not “come up with a plan to crush Russia.” According to sources, both China and Switzerland share the realistic view that the talks should not be a mere formality.

However, Chinese envoy Li Hui also told his EU counterparts that Moscow had two preconditions for negotiations, including ending Western arms supplies to Ukraine and canceling President Zelensky's decree in 2022, which rejected negotiations with President Putin.

Turkey proposes peace summit . Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky met with his Turkish counterpart Recep Tayyip Erdogan. The two leaders discussed the conflict situation, maritime issues in the Black Sea and the possibility of defense cooperation between the two countries.

We have had a sincere discussion about the conflict. Turkey is making every effort to end the conflict through negotiations. We are ready to hold a peace summit in which both Russia and Ukraine will be present ,” Erdogan said.

Meanwhile, President Zelensky said that Russia will not be invited to the upcoming peace summit in Switzerland. However, Moscow's representatives may be invited to subsequent conferences, after Kiev and its partners agree on a peace roadmap.

I discussed the joint production of certain types of weapons and ammunition with President Erdogan. I also met with representatives of the Turkish defense industry. We will work quickly to start cooperation ,” Zelensky added.

Poland does not rule out the possibility of the West sending troops to Ukraine . Polish Foreign Minister Radoslaw Sikorski said that the scenario of the West sending troops to Ukraine to stop the Russian army is not "unthinkable".

Mr Sikorski's remarks to the Polish parliament came in response to French President Macron's earlier comments about the possibility of deploying Western troops to Ukraine to prevent Russia from winning the armed conflict.
