According to the regulations of the examination boards of provinces and cities, the high school graduation exam marking work begins from July 5 to 13. At exactly 8:00 a.m. on July 16, the examination boards will announce the exam results.

Departments of Education and Training must complete high school graduation exams no later than July 18. Principals of high schools must issue temporary graduation certificates, return transcripts, and related certificates (originals) to candidates no later than July 22.

Candidates who want to review their exam papers should send their applications to the exam registration units from July 16 to July 25. The review will be completed by August 3 at the latest, and graduation recognition after the review will be considered by August 8 at the latest.

Departments of Education and Training must send the list of candidates recognized as graduates to the Ministry of Education and Training no later than August 15.

The special feature of this year's exam is that it took place right before the two-level local government system came into operation on July 1; the exam was organized with three-level local governments, but the exam marking and announcement of exam results were done with two-level local governments.

Regarding the organization of the 2025 high school graduation exam, in the spirit of early and remote preparation, most localities have anticipated this and proactively implemented it in accordance with the instructions of the Ministry of Education and Training.

Any locality that activates the new government's activities from July 1 will consider adjusting the steering committee and examination board if necessary or may keep them unchanged depending on the consensus of each locality's leadership.

As for localities that officially implement new government activities after the exam marking end date of July 15, they will follow the exam instructions issued by the Ministry to organize this Exam.

Inspecting the organization of the exam in some localities, Minister of Education and Training Nguyen Kim Son noted that this year's exam marking will be relatively complicated compared to previous years, reflected in the number of subjects and exam papers. The Ministry of Education and Training requested localities to closely follow the instructions to do a good job of marking the exam.

Note the university admission time

Regarding university admission time, candidates who are eligible for direct admission or priority admission must submit their applications before 5:00 p.m. on June 30. Candidates who are eligible for direct admission will be notified by training institutions before July 15, and must continue to register their admission wishes on the admission system according to the general schedule.

From July 10 to 20, the Departments of Education and Training will provide additional accounts for candidates (high school and college graduates) who do not have an account to register for admission on the system to carry out online registration.

Other candidates register their admission wishes on the system from July 16 to 5 p.m. on July 28 (no limit on the number of wishes). On July 21, the Ministry of Education and Training will announce the threshold to ensure the quality of admission to the teaching and health sectors with a practice license.

From 5:00 p.m. on July 23, training institutions will announce the admission scores and equivalent admission scores on the system and on the training institutions' websites. From July 29 to 5:00 p.m. on August 5, candidates will pay the admission fee online on the system.

Training institutions will notify candidates who have passed the first round of admission from 5:00 p.m. on August 22. Candidates will confirm their admission online for the first round on the system from 5:00 p.m. on August 30. Training institutions (with remaining quotas) will notify additional admissions from September 1.
