After more than 1 month of changing its name, on July 18, the Ho Chi Minh City Social Insurance Agency announced a change in its name and organizational structure.

On July 18, the Ho Chi Minh City Social Insurance Agency announced a change in name and organizational structure.

Accordingly, from July 18, 2025, Social Insurance Region XXVII officially changed its name to Ho Chi Minh City Social Insurance . The Director of Ho Chi Minh City Social Insurance is Mr. Lo Quan Hiep.

Head office address is located at 5 Nguyen Dong Chi Street, Tan My Ward (Tan Phu Ward, old District 7), Ho Chi Minh City.

Along with the name change, the organizational structure of the functional departments of Ho Chi Minh City Social Insurance was adjusted, including 9 functional departments.

In addition, the grassroots social insurance system under the Ho Chi Minh City Social Insurance has also been renamed and arranged in a streamlined and efficient manner with 36 grassroots units located in wards in Ho Chi Minh City, directly serving local people and businesses.

For example, District 1 Social Insurance changed to Tan Dinh Social Insurance ; Vung Tau City Social Insurance changed to Tan Thang Social Insurance ; Thuan An City Social Insurance changed to Lai Thieu Social Insurance ...

Previously, according to the decision of Vietnam Social Security , from June 1, 2025, the Social Security agencies of 3 localities, Ho Chi Minh City - Ba Ria-Vung Tau and Binh Duong, will merge and change their name to Social Security Region XXVII.

The director of the social insurance of the city, town, district, and county (now the basic social insurance ) shall implement the change of the unit's name and inform the people, organizations, and businesses. At the same time, coordinate with relevant units to carry out the procedures for changing the seal according to regulations.

The entire Ho Chi Minh City Social Insurance system ensures smooth, stable, and uninterrupted operations in serving people, organizations, and businesses in the area.
