According to a VNA correspondent in the US, "blue wall" is a term used by politicians to refer to the 18 states and the capital Washington DC where Democratic candidates have won every presidential election from 1992 to 2020, except in 2016 when Republican candidate Donald Trump won in three states, Michigan, Pennsylvania and Wisconsin, and was elected president. According to the plan, Ms. Harris will participate in an interview with the National Association of Black Journalists in Philadelphia on September 17. Two days later, Ms. Harris will join TV star Oprah Winfrey in the live televised event in Michigan, "Unite for America" with 140 different grassroots organizations. After that, Ms. Harris' campaign in Wisconsin on September 20 will be her fourth campaign here since starting her campaign in July.
Harris’s campaign has also mounted a massive operation in the three states, with hundreds of staffers. Her supporters in Wisconsin have knocked on more than 500,000 doors and signed up more than 3,000 new volunteers since last week’s debate between Harris and former President Donald Trump.
