Informing Quang Nam about China's economic development, Ms. Dong Bich Du - Consul General of China in Da Nang City said that the average GDP growth rate in 2023 will reach 5.2%. The development of the Chinese economy contributes 30% to the world economy and 60% to the Asian economy.

This year, China has set a GDP growth target of 5%. This figure is a challenge for a large economy , but China is confident in its five existing advantages to achieve the above target. Specifically, China has a large consumer market; a complete industrial system that can provide supply chains and linkage chains; a large number of entrepreneurs and businesses, high-quality human resources; advantages in scientific and technological innovation; and priority given to developing a socialist economic market.

Ms. Dong Bich Du assessed that Quang Nam has great potential for economic development, with advantages in the sea and connecting transport infrastructure. Quang Nam province's planning for the period 2021 - 2030, with a vision to 2050, has many orientations for economic development similar to China's economy. This is a premise to promote economic development cooperation between Quang Nam and Chinese localities.

Regarding the cooperative relationship in the coming time, Ms. Dong Bich Du hopes that Quang Nam will continue to build cooperative relationships with Chinese localities; typically, in the past, Quang Nam had friendly cooperative relations with Guangxi province (China). Hopefully, in the coming time, Quang Nam provincial leaders will visit Chinese localities to enhance exchanges and cooperation, especially in the fields of Party building, economic development, and social security.
