Accordingly, the decision was made to adjust the project's investment capital from VND 50 billion to VND 67.7 billion. Of this, the investor's contribution is VND 20.3 billion and the loan is VND 47.4 billion.

The decision also adjusts the schedule for basic construction and commissioning of the project. Specifically, from Q2/2021 to Q4/2023, investment procedures will be completed to obtain land handover; from Q1/2024 to Q2/2024, infrastructure investment for the cargo storage area will be carried out; from Q2/2024 to Q3/2024, investment in road infrastructure will be made. From Q4/2024 to Q1/2025, investment in purchasing handling equipment and completing the remaining items will be carried out to bring the project into operation.

The Quy Nhon Port Joint Stock Company is required to focus its financial resources and promptly implement the project, ensuring the progress and procedures comply with current regulations. If the project is not completed and operational by the aforementioned date, the Department of Planning and Investment will propose to the Provincial People's Committee to terminate the project in accordance with regulations.

Quy Nhon Port is a national comprehensive port, serving as a regional hub (Type 1) for the South Central Vietnam seaport group.

The Quy Nhon Port Expansion Project until 2030 received investment approval and investor approval on June 29, 2021. The project will be implemented on an area of ​​3.8 hectares with components such as a warehouse area, cargo yard, container yard, port infrastructure, and green spaces.

The People's Committee of Binh Dinh province stated that the current road infrastructure in the port area is overloaded and requires the construction and arrangement of parking areas for container trucks and other vehicles within the project's area.

According to the detailed construction planning project at a scale of 1/500 for the expansion of Quy Nhon Port until 2030, the Quy Nhon port area will have a total area of ​​approximately 87.92 hectares by 2030. The planning objective is to develop and expand Quy Nhon Port into one of the modern seaports of regional significance, meeting the socio -economic development needs of Binh Dinh province, the South Central region, and the Central Highlands.

Accordingly, the onshore area, covering 56.13 hectares, is planned to include functional zones such as a general container port area with a total area of ​​4.72 hectares, and a hinterland warehouse area with a total area of ​​approximately 28.86 hectares…

At the end of March 2023, Quy Nhon Port Joint Stock Company completed the upgrade project for Berth No. 1 - Quy Nhon Port (part of the general container port area plan) with a total investment of over 546 billion VND, 90 days ahead of schedule. The total length of the berth after the upgrade is 480 m, and the width is 35 m; ensuring the simultaneous reception of two fully loaded general cargo ships and 30,000 DWT container ships.

Quy Nhon Port is a national general port, serving as a regional hub (Type 1) for the South Central Vietnam seaport group. Located in Quy Nhon Bay, the port is sheltered by the Phuong Mai peninsula, providing favorable conditions for ships to anchor and load/unload cargo year-round.

Quy Nhon Port can accommodate vessels up to 30,000 DWT and vessels up to 50,000 DWT with reduced load. In the Binh Dinh Provincial Planning orientation for the period 2021-2030, with a vision to 2050, Quy Nhon Port will receive increased investment to complete its infrastructure.
