Binh Duong attracts 825 million USD of FDI capital

In the socio-economic report for the first 6 months of the year, the People's Committee of Binh Duong province said that the industrial production situation has improved a lot. Up to now, the main export industries of Binh Duong province have gradually recovered. The industrial production index is estimated to increase by 5.63% over the same period in 2023. Of which, the processing industry increased by 5.42%, water supply and wastewater and waste treatment increased by 11.55%.

Export turnover is estimated at 16.2 billion USD (up 10.3% over the same period), import turnover is estimated at 11.52 billion USD (up 9.9% over the same period).

Regarding investment attraction, domestic capital attracted nearly 30,000 billion VND, with nearly 3,000 newly registered enterprises.

Notably, in terms of attracting FDI capital, in the first 6 months, Binh Duong attracted 825 million USD in 96 new investment projects and 60 projects with increased capital.

To date, the province has nearly 4,300 investment projects from 65 countries and territories with a total registered capital of more than 40.6 billion USD. Binh Duong currently ranks 3rd in the country in attracting foreign investment capital, after Ho Chi Minh City and Hanoi .

Regarding industrial park operations, secondary investors have invested in building infrastructure and factories with a total capital of VND 608.9 billion.

Enterprises in the industrial park have disbursed 1.2 billion USD, revenue reached 20 billion USD, exports reached 12 billion USD (accounting for 73.6% of the province). The province has organized the groundbreaking ceremony for the construction of An Lap industrial cluster (75 hectares).

Binh Duong Provincial People's Committee is researching investment in mechanical industrial parks, concentrated information technology parks... to attract automobile mechanical industries and develop high-tech industries.
