Binh Duong attracts 825 million USD in FDI capital

According to the socio -economic report for the first six months of the year, the People's Committee of Binh Duong province stated that industrial production has shown many positive signs. To date, the province's key export sectors are gradually recovering. The industrial production index is estimated to increase by 5.63% compared to the same period in 2023. Specifically, the processing industry increased by 5.42%, and water supply and wastewater and waste treatment increased by 11.55%.

Export turnover is estimated at 16.2 billion USD (an increase of 10.3% compared to the same period last year), and import turnover is estimated at 11.52 billion USD (an increase of 9.9% compared to the same period last year).

Regarding investment attraction, domestic capital attracted nearly 30,000 billion VND, with nearly 3,000 new businesses registered.

Notably, in terms of attracting FDI, in the first six months, Binh Duong attracted $825 million into 96 new investment projects and 60 projects with increased capital.

To date, the province has nearly 4,300 investment projects from 65 countries and territories with a total registered capital of over 40.6 billion USD. Binh Duong currently ranks third nationwide in attracting foreign investment, after Ho Chi Minh City and Hanoi .

Regarding industrial park operations, secondary investors have deployed infrastructure and factory construction with a total capital of 608.9 billion VND.

Businesses in the industrial park have disbursed $1.2 billion, generated $20 billion in revenue, and achieved $12 billion in exports (accounting for 73.6% of the province's total). The province has held a groundbreaking ceremony for the An Lap industrial cluster (75 hectares).

The People's Committee of Binh Duong province is studying the investment in a mechanical engineering industrial park and a concentrated information technology zone... to attract automotive engineering industries and develop high-tech industries.
