Binh Tan: Farmers are the subject and center in agricultural and rural economic development.

(DN) - On the morning of October 22, the official session of the 1st Congress of the Farmers' Association of Binh Tan Commune, term 2025-2030 took place with the participation of 115 delegates representing members and farmers in the area.

In the 2023-2025 term, the Farmers' Association at all levels in Binh Tan commune has been active, proactive, and innovative in its content and methods of operation; promoted propaganda and mobilized farmers to strive to successfully implement 17 targets and 5 key groups of tasks in the association's work and the farmers' movement set out in the commune.

Notably, the growth of the Farmers Support Fund has reached and exceeded the target by 10-15%/year. Collective economic models have been established and 9 agricultural products have met OCOP standards. The new rural construction movement has been widely deployed in the area, contributing positively to the production process, creating jobs, improving the material and spiritual life of farmers. The Association also coordinated with local political and social organizations to mobilize the construction of 2 charity houses, worth 165 million VND. The emulation movements launched by the Association at all levels continue to develop widely, having a spreading effect, contributing to socio-economic development, building new rural areas, improving the material and spiritual life of farmers.

During the 2025-2030 term, the Farmers' Association of Binh Tan commune focuses on implementing 20 targets, notably: Every year, 100% of farmer members are propagandized and disseminated the Party's policies and resolutions, the State's laws and policies and the Association's resolutions; the Farmers' Support Fund mobilizes growth exceeding 8-10%/year; coordinates to support the development of 5 or more OCOP products, contributing to building a commune that meets advanced new rural standards.

The Congress announced the decision to appoint personnel for the Executive Committee of the Association, consisting of 29 members. Mr. Truong Van Thap, Vice Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the commune, holds the position of Chairman of the Farmers' Association of Binh Tan commune, term 2025-2030. At the same time, 3 official delegates were appointed to attend the 1st Congress of the Farmers' Association of Dong Nai province, term 2025-2030.
