This is the first time Vietnamese artists have received an invitation to perform at one of the events within the Super Bowl – one of the biggest and most anticipated sporting events of the year. The Super Bowl is not just a football game, but also a festival and a cultural tradition in America.
Around the Super Bowl event, there will be many exciting side programs, including Super Bowl Tailgate - a place for interaction and networking between players, fans, sports enthusiasts, and artists before the game.
For the first time in history, the Vietnamese community in the United States is co-organizing the Super Bowl Tailgate event. Representatives from the organizing committee, RocketBuffalo Inc., stated that this is a special opportunity for the Vietnamese community to fully immerse themselves in the vibrant atmosphere of the Super Bowl and bring Vietnamese culture closer to international friends.
That's why they invited several Vietnamese artists to perform at Super Bowl Tailgate in the US, including young rappers like Dế Choắt, Lăng LD, and Blacka.
The 2024 Super Bowl championship game is scheduled for Sunday, February 11, 2024. Therefore, the Super Bowl Tailgate event, a "pre-game" event, coincides with the Lunar New Year. Representatives from RocketBuffalo Inc. stated that this year's program, in addition to top-notch musical performances, will also incorporate traditional Vietnamese New Year activities.
De Choat, Lang LD, and Blacka have also confirmed they will be performing at Super Bowl Tailgate in the US at the invitation of the organizers. All three artists expressed pride and excitement about this invitation.
Blacka revealed that he will be bringing a series of the best songs from his upcoming album, "The Man Who Lived Two Times," to entertain Vietnamese expats and international friends at Super Bowl Tailgate.
Meanwhile, Lăng LD confessed: "Honestly, when I first received the invitation, I couldn't believe it. When I received the email from the organizers, I was overwhelmed and felt very honored. This is not only a joy for me personally, but also an inspiration for many young people pursuing the Underground scene."
This time in America, Lăng LD wants to introduce the sounds of his homeland to the Super Bowl Tailgate audience. It would be truly touching if I could sing in Vietnamese during that event, in that atmosphere."
