Ministry of Industry and Trade issues plan to popularize biofuel blending roadmap

The Ministry of Industry and Trade issued Decision 3586/QD-BCT on December 8th regarding the plan for disseminating Circular No. 50/2025/TT-BBCT stipulating the roadmap for applying the blending ratio of biofuels with traditional fuels in Vietnam.

Regarding the overall objective, the decision clearly states that the purpose is to disseminate, publicize, guide, and direct public opinion on Circular No. 50/2025/TT-BCT, helping gasoline users and society as a whole understand E5 and E10 bioethanol correctly, and to trust and support the policy of using E5 and E10 bioethanol to replace traditional mineral gasoline in order to achieve the goal of building a green economy , a low-carbon economy, reducing greenhouse gas emissions, and fulfilling the commitment to bring net emissions to "zero" by 2050.

Furthermore, it helps gasoline users and society as a whole understand the environmental benefits of using E5 and E10 biofuels. It promotes the development of the biofuel industry, creating jobs and contributing to socio-economic development.

Providing information based on scientific research and practical experience so that gasoline users and society as a whole understand that E5 and E10 gasoline are products whose quality has been determined according to national technical standards, are safe for engines, and are suitable for use in most gasoline engines currently in circulation.

Mobilize the entire political system, the business community, and gasoline users to work together to promote the use of biofuels, considering the use of green fuels as essential for environmental, economic, and social goals.

Furthermore, the decision also requires ensuring timely and accurate information, proactively handling and refuting false, negative, or misleading information about policies; ensuring smooth and consistent information flow, avoiding conflicts or discrepancies in statements between units within the Ministry and related organizations and individuals.

Connecting communication with practical action demonstrates the Ministry of Industry and Trade's role in promoting clean energy development and fulfilling the commitment to bring net emissions to "zero" by 2050.
