
At 6:00 AM on July 30th, the Operations Duty Officer of the Da Nang City Border Guard Command received information from the Binh Minh Border Guard Station about a fishing boat's engine breaking down at sea.
Accordingly, Mr. Tran Van Truc (Binh Tinh village, Thang An commune) reported to the Binh Minh Border Guard Station that the fishing boat of Mr. Tran Dinh Tam (from the same locality) had suffered engine failure and drifted while fishing at coordinates 15°46'N - 108°40'E, about 13 nautical miles from Cu Lao Cham. The family requested urgent assistance.
Upon receiving the deployment order, at 6:50 AM, Border Guard Squadron 2 dispatched vessel BP 43.1301 and 5 officers and soldiers from Cu Lao Cham Island to carry out a rescue mission.

At 12:20 PM, the Border Guard Squadron 2 vessel found the damaged fishing boat and the fishermen, and is currently towing it back to Binh Minh Border Guard Post.
According to verification, the fishing boat, which had no registration number, was anchored at the beach and left the shore at 4 PM on July 29th from Binh Tinh village to fish, with only one worker on board, Mr. Tran Dinh Tam.
