The Standing Committee of the National Assembly has just issued a plan for organizing the interpellation session at its 25th meeting. The interpellation session will be held on August 15th in the Dien Hong Room of the National Assembly building and will be broadcast live to 62 National Assembly delegations in provinces and centrally-governed cities.

According to the plan, National Assembly Chairman Vuong Dinh Hue will deliver the opening and closing remarks for the entire questioning session.

Based on the criteria, sequence, and procedures for selecting the groups of issues to be questioned and the individuals to answer them, the Standing Committee of the National Assembly decided on two groups of issues to be questioned, one in the field of justice and the other in the field of agriculture.

Minister of Justice Le Thanh Long will answer questions on the morning of August 15th.

According to the scheduled program, on the morning of August 15th, Minister of Justice Le Thanh Long will answer questions on the following groups of issues:

- The implementation of the program for drafting laws and ordinances; solutions to ensure the progress, quality, and procedural documentation of projects and drafts submitted by the Government to the National Assembly; solutions to improve the quality of the legal system; and solutions to control power and prevent corruption and negative practices in the law-making process are the responsibility of the Government.

- Current situation and solutions to improve the capacity, effectiveness, and efficiency of the review of legal normative documents. Solutions to overcome the situation of delayed issuance, overlapping and contradictory content, and limitations and violations in the issuance of documents detailing laws, resolutions of the National Assembly, ordinances, and resolutions of the Standing Committee of the National Assembly.

- Current situation and solutions to overcome limitations and shortcomings, and improve the effectiveness of asset auction and forensic examination.

Deputy Prime Minister Tran Luu Quang; Ministers of Finance, Natural Resources and Environment, Health, and Public Security; the Inspector General of the Government; the Minister and Head of the Government Office; the Chief Justice of the Supreme People's Court; and the Prosecutor General of the Supreme People's Procuracy all participated in answering questions and providing explanations on related issues.

* Later that afternoon, Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development Le Minh Hoan took the podium.

The Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development will answer questions regarding:

- Solutions to overcome difficulties in agricultural exports (shrinking export markets, many businesses lacking orders, price drops for some key agricultural products, impact on farmers' income and livelihoods...).

- Activities related to the exploitation, protection, and development of aquatic resources; solutions to lift the European Commission's (EC) "yellow card" on Vietnamese fisheries.

- The conversion of land use, reclamation of rice-growing land, ensuring food security and rice exports.

Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development Le Minh Hoan will answer questions on the afternoon of August 15th.

"Sharing the burden" with the Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development are Deputy Prime Minister Tran Luu Quang; and the Ministers of Finance, Industry and Trade, Natural Resources and Environment, Science and Technology, Information and Communications, and Foreign Affairs.

* The questioning session was broadcast live on the Voice of Vietnam radio station and televised live on the Vietnam National Assembly Television Channel and Vietnam Television so that voters could follow and monitor it.
