Bach Mai Hospital nurse saves patient at court.
Minister of Health Dao Hong Lan signed a decision to award a Certificate of Merit to nurse Dang Thi Ha (Emergency Center A9, Bach Mai Hospital), who provided emergency care outside the hospital and quickly performed CPR to save a tourist who had stopped circulatory circulation in a restaurant in Da Nang. Nurse Ha has made outstanding achievements in protecting, caring for, and improving people's health.

Previously, on the evening of March 22, while dining at a restaurant in Son Tra district, Da Nang , nurse Ha discovered a 70-year-old Indian man who was dizzy, staggering, and then collapsed. With the reflexes of an emergency nurse, Ms. Ha sensed that the man had stopped circulating (cardiac arrest, respiratory arrest). She immediately checked and found that his heart had stopped, then performed continuous external chest compressions, saving the patient's life.
The above tourist, after being treated overnight at a hospital in Da Nang, was discharged and returned home.
On the afternoon of March 28, Associate Professor, Dr. Dao Xuan Co, Director of Bach Mai Hospital, praised nurse Dang Thi Ha and the A9 Emergency Center. On behalf of the hospital's leadership, Associate Professor Co awarded a certificate of merit to nurse Dang Thi Ha for her outstanding achievements in providing emergency care to patients in the community.
According to the nurse, when she encountered a situation where a man had stopped circulating in a restaurant, as a medical worker, her natural reflex was to perform CPR to save the patient.
“For me, that is the basic thing for medical staff, it is the normal first aid reflex when a patient has an accident. We were trained in first aid from the time we studied at Bach Mai Medical College, until we worked at A9,” said Ms. Ha.
Associate Professor Dao Xuan Co said that saving people is the responsibility, the passion, the heart of Bach Mai medical staff. The image of nurse Ha giving first aid to a foreign tourist is a beautiful image of Vietnamese medical staff to the community and the world .
Director of Da Nang Department of Tourism Truong Thi Hong Hanh also awarded a certificate of merit to Ms. Ha. The Tourist Support Center (Da Nang Department of Tourism) proposed to award vouchers for vacations and travel experiences to the female nurse.
