The youngest new associate professor in 2024 is Tran Ngoc Mai (born in 1991, from Binh Luc district, Ha Nam province ), working at the Department of International Business, Banking Academy, and a candidate for associate professor in Economics.
She graduated with a Bachelor of Business Administration degree, specializing in International Business, Banking, and Financial Markets, from the University of Nebraska, Omaha, USA, in 2012. Three years later, she earned a Master of Economics and Finance degree, specializing in Banking and Finance, from Queen Mary University of London, UK.
After graduating, candidate Tran Ngoc Mai returned to Vietnam and worked at the Banking Academy. She received her PhD in 2021 from the Foreign Trade University in Hanoi .

Associate Professor Mai previously held positions such as lecturer in the International Payments Department, Banking Faculty; and lecturer in the International Investment Department, International Business Faculty. Currently, she is the Deputy Head of the International Investment Department, International Business Faculty, Banking Academy.
During her research, Tran Ngoc Mai published 31 scientific articles, including 6 in prestigious international journals after receiving her doctorate (she was the main author of 6 of them).
This female candidate also chaired two basic-level research projects that were successfully completed with excellent and outstanding results, and participated in writing two specialized reference books. In addition, the newly appointed Associate Professor Mai actively supported and guided young lecturers and students in scientific research activities at the Banking Academy.
Besides Associate Professor Tran Ngoc Mai, there are three other candidates who meet the criteria for the associate professor title, all belonging to the 9X generation: Nguyen Hoang Chung, Nguyen Thi Hoa Hong, and Vu Thu Trang.
Newly appointed Associate Professor Nguyen Hoang Chung (born in 1990, from Phu My, Binh Dinh province) works at Thu Dau Mot University, Binh Duong province. Chung graduated in 2012 with a degree in Economics, specializing in Finance and Banking, from the University of Banking Ho Chi Minh City.
In 2017 and 2020, he received his master's and doctoral degrees, respectively, from the same university, the University of Banking Ho Chi Minh City, in the same field and specialization as above.
According to his academic profile, Dr. Chung has published 43 scientific articles, including 14 articles in prestigious international journals and conferences listed in the ISI/Scopus database, 14 articles published after receiving his doctorate, and 2 books/book chapters published by reputable publishers, including one domestic monograph and one international reference book chapter.

Newly appointed Associate Professor Nguyen Thi Hoa Hong (born in 1990, from Ly Nhan district, Ha Nam province) works at the Foreign Trade University. She graduated in 2012 with a degree in Finance and Banking, specializing in International Finance, from the Foreign Trade University.
One year later, this candidate was awarded a Master's degree in International Finance and Banking, specializing in International Finance and Banking, from the University of Northampton, UK. In 2019, she was awarded a PhD in Business, specializing in Business Administration, from the Foreign Trade University.
Ms. Hong has published 59 scientific articles, including 8 articles in prestigious international journals (ISI/ESCI/Scopus); she has published 2 books, including one textbook as a co-editor and one reference book as the chief editor.
Newly appointed Associate Professor Vu Thu Trang meets the criteria for the title of Associate Professor in Psychology (born in 1990, from Vinh Bao, Hai Phong), and works at Hanoi Pedagogical University.
She received her Bachelor's degree in Psychology, specializing in Psychology, from the National University of Singapore in 2013. In 2017, she was awarded a PhD in Psychology, specializing in Psychology, from the Academy of Social Sciences.
Candidate Vu Thu Trang has published 53 scientific articles, including 15 in prestigious international journals. She has also published 3 books, one of which is published by an international publisher.
