(Dan Tri Newspaper) - Following the "Nurturing Children" project, the online community continues to discover irregularities in another project within the same ecosystem, "Power 2000" - a project to build schools for children in mountainous areas.

"Power 2000" is another project by Hoang Hoa Trung, established to build schools, bridges to access schools, and houses for children in mountainous areas, with the goal of eliminating temporary schools nationwide.

According to data published on the website sucmanh2000.com , this project has raised over 197 billion VND, of which nearly 139 billion VND has been allocated to school construction. Construction has begun on 451 schools.

However, netizens discovered that many schools where the project had already completed fundraising, construction, and inauguration were then being rebuilt by posting new appeals on social media to call for donations to rebuild the school from scratch.

One of them is Ta Phin Ethnic Boarding Primary School, Sinh Phinh commune, Dien Bien province (formerly Ta Phin village, Ta Phin commune, Tua Chua district, Dien Bien province).

Accordingly, the Power 2000 project has established charity code DA0689 to call for donations to build 4 new classrooms for Ta Phin school starting in 2024. Updates on the Power 2000 - Small Donations Every Day Build Thousands of New Schools fanpage also list this project among the ongoing projects for November and December 2024.

According to information publicly available on the website sucmanh2000.com , the project was completed on September 9, 2025, from three sources of contributions: 50 million VND from benefactor Nam An, 250 million VND from the "Nurturing Children 24-25" fund, and 100 million VND from individual school/Suc Manh 2000 donations.

However, on September 10, 2025, one day after the project was completed, the fanpage "Power of 2000 - Small Donations Every Day Build a New School" posted an article titled "Small Donations to Build a New Ethnic Minority Boarding Primary School - Project 0689".

According to the post, the amount needed for donations is 150 million VND, and the remaining amount needed is over 87 million VND.

On September 10th, Power 2000 started fundraising again with the Ta Phin school construction project (Screenshot).

The note reads: "Currently, teachers and students of the school are temporarily studying in a borrowed room at the community learning center."

The remaining old classrooms, temporarily constructed in 2013, are in serious disrepair. These rooms are cramped, poorly lit, and no longer safe.

The donated funds will be used to build two new classrooms, each measuring 42 square meters, providing a spacious and safe learning environment for the students.”

Responding to a reporter from Dan Tri newspaper , Mr. Nguyen Trung Nghia - Principal of Ta Phin Ethnic Boarding Primary School - confirmed that the school had received funding from the "Strength 2000" project to build four new classrooms, scheduled for inauguration in September 2025. "After this time, the school will not be soliciting donations or constructing any new facilities," Mr. Nghia affirmed.

Mr. Nghia also stated that the school has approximately 200 students who are receiving lunch support of 8,500 VND per meal from the "Nuoi Em" program. These are students who do not qualify for state-sponsored meals at the school (their homes are less than 4km from the school).

The 2025-2026 school year will be the fourth year that the school receives support from Nuoi Em (Nurturing Children). Every two months, Nuoi Em will pay the school for meals based on actual expenses.

However, since the beginning of this school year, specifically since September, Nuoi Em has still not paid the school for her meals.

Besides Ta Phin Ethnic Boarding Primary School, the online community also discovered several other schools that were calling for second rounds of donations after construction was completed, such as Tua Chua Town Primary School (Dien Bien), Ban Cao school branch, and Nam Cao Kindergarten ( Cao Bang )...
