On the evening of December 9th, amidst a vibrant atmosphere of colors and lively sounds, the opening ceremony of the 33rd SEA Games officially took place at the Rajamangala Stadium (Thailand), marking the beginning of the region's largest sporting event.

Tens of thousands of fans filled every row of seats in the stands, creating a sea of enthusiastic people surrounding the stadium.

The opening reenacts the history of the SEA Games, the inspirational performance for the athletes, and the performance honors the cultural identity of Southeast Asia.

The organizing committee also introduced the countries that have previously hosted the SEA Games, kicking off the "Back To The Origin" message at the 33rd SEA Games. Thailand is the country that has hosted the SEA Games the most times in the region, as this is the 7th time the Land of Smiles has hosted the regional sporting event.

Artists from the host country performed Flyboard right on the opening ceremony stage, showcasing skillful and highly difficult acrobatic moves.

The elaborately staged artistic and martial arts performances vividly recreated the beauty of Thai culture, from ancient legends and traditional dances to the distinctive chivalrous spirit of the Land of the Golden Pagodas.

The singer's songs and the combination of lighting and sound effects are showcased in the segment titled Blooming Of One Victory, where friendship is the ultimate victory.

Sports delegations participating in the 33rd SEA Games marched past the stage one after another to the cheers of the audience.
The ceremony began with a solemn flag procession, including the flag of the Southeast Asian Sports Federation, the national flag of Thailand, and the flag of the 33rd SEA Games, leading the parade and creating a sacred and proud atmosphere for the event.

The sports delegations will compete in alphabetical order and as usual the host team Thailand will go last.

The Vietnamese sports delegation was the second to last in the parade. The flag bearers for the Vietnamese delegation were middle blocker Le Thanh Thuy (volleyball) and Le Minh Thuan (karate).

At the 33rd SEA Games, the Vietnamese sports delegation consisted of 1,165 members, including 1 head of delegation, 3 deputy heads of delegation, 69 medical staff and personnel, 44 team leaders, 16 experts, 191 coaches, and 841 athletes.

The host nation Thailand's sports delegation entered the final stage. Thailand is the top contender for first place in the SEA Games 33 overall medal standings. Thailand is participating with 1,531 athletes, competing in 50 official sports and 3 demonstration sports.

The flag-raising ceremony took place in a solemn atmosphere. The flag of the Southeast Asian Sports Federation was slowly raised, fluttering alongside the Thai national flag, marking the sacred moment that began the regional sports games.

The torch for the opening of the 33rd SEA Games was solemnly passed from hand to hand by prominent Thai athletes before being lit in the cauldron.

The moment the flame bursts into flames symbolizes the enduring sportsmanship, the will to rise and the solidarity of the countries in the region.
This moment also perfectly concludes the Opening Ceremony of the 33rd SEA Games, marking the official start of the competition journey for the participating sports delegations in the coming days.
