After 30 minutes, the mud flow spread rapidly over a large area, affecting the environment and the lives of local people. Upon receiving the information, the Hanoi Urban Railway Management Board (MRB) promptly mobilized staff and employees, coordinated with the contractor of the project's tunnel construction, to urgently arrive at the scene to isolate the area and prevent the mud from spreading to other areas. At the same time, high-capacity suction pumps and mud trucks were mobilized to the scene to handle and clean up the mud. Authorities also barricaded areas where mud was erupting to ensure people's safety and limit the spread of mud.

Previously, in February 2025, in the area of lane 7, Giang Van Minh street, there was also a phenomenon of mud and soil erupting onto the ground, affecting the environment and people's lives. Explaining the above phenomenon, the representative of MRB said that when the TBM tunnel boring machine reached the above location, when it encountered a weak soil pocket or underground water source, or old wells, old drainage pipes created a path for the mud and soil mixture to erupt onto the ground.
