After 30 minutes, the mudslide spread rapidly over a wide area, affecting the environment and the lives of local residents. Upon receiving the information, the Hanoi Urban Railway Management Board (MRB) promptly mobilized its staff and coordinated with the tunnel construction contractor to quickly arrive at the scene to contain the mud and prevent it from spreading to other areas. Simultaneously, they deployed high-capacity pumps and suction trucks to the site to handle and clean up the mud. Authorities also erected barriers in areas where mud had erupted to ensure public safety and limit the spread of the mud.

Previously, in February 2025, a similar phenomenon of mud and soil erupting to the surface occurred in Alley 7, Giang Van Minh Street, affecting the environment and the lives of residents. Explaining this phenomenon, a representative from MRB stated that the TBM tunnel boring machine, upon reaching the location, encountered weak soil pockets, groundwater veins, or old wells and drainage pipes, creating pathways for the mud and soil mixture to erupt to the surface.
