The viral clip of Duong Hoang Yen
Recently, Duong Hoang Yen was the only Vietnamese singer invited to perform in the tour of Ho Chi Minh City and Hanoi by the Evergreen Symphony Orchestra (ESO) from Taiwan (China).
The Evergreen Symphony Orchestra (ESO) is one of the few professional symphony orchestras in the world, and the only one in Taiwan (China), that is independently operated and managed by a private foundation. For 23 years since its founding, the ESO has not only dedicated itself to promoting symphonic music in Taiwan (China) but has also performed over 80 concerts of varying sizes in numerous countries around the world since 2004.
Prior to the event, the organizers and representatives of the Evergreen Symphony Orchestra thoroughly researched Duong Hoang Yen's information during her business trip to Vietnam before sending out the official invitation.
After reviewing the singer's profile and performance clips, the event organizers and orchestra representatives shared that they were very impressed. They were particularly struck by the fact that Duong Hoang Yen could sing in Mandarin.
Due to the geographical distance, the two sides mainly worked online and only had one rehearsal before the show. Nevertheless, Duong Hoang Yen and the Evergreen Symphony Orchestra still performed together with great harmony and brilliance.
The songs "Chiếc khăn Piêu", "Một vòng Việt Nam", "Ánh trăng nói hộ lòng tôi" (in Mandarin), and "Top of the World" (in English), with completely new orchestral arrangements and combined with Dương Hoàng Yến's strong and powerful voice, became incredibly classy, continuously receiving enthusiastic applause from the guests present.
Duong Hoang Yen was the only Vietnamese singer to perform with an orchestra from Taiwan (China).
Notably, Duong Hoang Yen combined playing the harmonica with the orchestra during her performance. And during her rendition of "Chiec Khan Pieu," the singer spontaneously moved closer to the audience without a microphone. However, Duong Hoang Yen's voice was equally outstanding whether she had a microphone or not. This moment quickly made a strong impression on the audience at the City Theater.
Duong Hoang Yen will also be performing with the Evergreen Symphony Orchestra on September 28th in Hanoi. Currently, Duong Hoang Yen is participating in the "Beautiful Sister Riding the Wind 2024" program. Upon announcement, Duong Hoang Yen received overwhelming support from the audience with numerous positive and humorous comments: "Her mornings are all about the microphone," "Her vocals are off the charts!", "She's making a popping sound with the mic, teacher!", "One vote for her to join the troupe"...
