Ca Mau: Inauguration of 11 projects with investment capital of over 2,676 billion VND

On the afternoon of October 16, 2025, within the framework of events celebrating the 1st Congress of the Ca Mau Provincial Party Committee, term 2025-2030, Ca Mau province held the inauguration ceremony of 11 works and projects to celebrate this event with a total investment of over 2,676 billion VND.

Chairman of Ca Mau Provincial People's Committee Pham Thanh Ngai spoke at the inauguration ceremony of 11 works to welcome the Congress of Delegates of Ca Mau Provincial Party Committee.

Speaking at the inauguration ceremony, Chairman of the People's Committee of Ca Mau province Pham Thanh Ngai emphasized that the 11 projects inaugurated today are typical marks for the development vision of Ca Mau, with important scale, stature and significance, contributing to creating a new look, promoting socio -economic development, improving the material and spiritual life of the people, spreading the spirit of pride in the southernmost land of the Fatherland.

Phan Ngoc Hien Square is present as the "heart" symbol of Ca Mau city. With an area of over 3.5 hectares, a total investment of 278 billion VND, along with a 24-meter-high Ca Mau Shrimp symbol, a 28-meter-high national flagpole and a system of 233 artistic water fountains. This is not only an iconic architectural work, but also a space for cultural, artistic, festival, entertainment activities, connecting the dynamic and civilized life of the people with the modern appearance of Ca Mau city.

Delegates performed the ribbon-cutting ceremony to inaugurate Phan Ngoc Hien Square with the symbol of Ca Mau Shrimp bearing the economic and cultural imprint of Ca Mau in the new era.

Ganh Hao Bridge project, a symbol of connecting the two banks of development. With a length of 770 meters, a width of 12 meters, and a total investment of 688 billion VND, connecting Tan Thuan commune and Ganh Hao commune, opening up a new trading space for the Southeast coastal area of Ca Mau, promoting comprehensive socio-economic development in the key coastal area of the province.

The project to upgrade 5 km of dyke and culvert system through the dyke in Hiep Thanh ward, with a total investment of 351 billion VND; is part of the entire sea dyke line of Ca Mau province. This is not only a project to prevent natural disasters, protect tens of thousands of hectares of production land, but also an important traffic axis, opening up a new direction for development of the marine economy, demonstrating Ca Mau's determination in responding and adapting to climate change for sustainable development.

Bac Lieu Sports Complex Project, with a total investment of 367 billion VND, includes an 8,000-seat stadium, a multi-purpose training area, a petanque court, and a square of more than 5,000 m². This project is a modern sports space, promoting the movement "Healthy to protect and build the Fatherland" in social life.

The old Bac Lieu Provincial Police Hall project has a capacity of 500 seats and a total investment of 51 billion VND. This is a place to organize training and professional conferences, contributing to improving the effectiveness of the police force in maintaining political security, social order and safety, and protecting the peaceful life of the people.

The Dam Doi - Cai Nuoc - Cha La Victory Monument Project, with an area of ... hectares and a total investment of 106 billion VND, is a national historical relic, recreating the glorious and heroic history of the army and people of Ca Mau with an immortal symbol of patriotism, revolutionary heroism, and shining with the nation's morality of "When drinking water, remember its source".

The Monument Complex “The Train to the North” is a cultural and historical project that crystallizes the aspiration for national unification, with a total investment of 195 billion VND, including a central monument, a 640-meter-long overpass, and a square of more than 2,000 square meters. This is a red address for educating patriotic traditions, a symbolic project for the loyalty and bravery of the land and people of the southernmost land of the Fatherland with the Party, with Uncle Ho and the revolutionary cause of the nation.

The "Prince of Bac Lieu" Service - Tourism Area project, with an area of 4,600 m2, the highlight is the 15-storey hotel, with a total investment of 400 billion VND, is a unique tourist highlight, contributing to making the "Prince of Bac Lieu" brand become an increasingly widespread and reaching cultural - tourism product.

The high-tech super-intensive shrimp farming project in Dong Hai commune on an area of 215 hectares, with a total investment of 240 billion VND, includes many of the most modern technologies today such as water sensors, biological processes, and traceability; is expected to bring outstanding productivity, clean production, and environmental friendliness, contributing to bringing the shrimp industry, the key industry of Ca Mau province, towards the goal of sustainable development breakthrough, affirming the position of the "shrimp industry capital" of the country of Ca Mau province.

Publishing the book "History of the Party Committee of Ca Mau Province" - a scientific work of profound theoretical and practical value, a valuable document serving the work of educating revolutionary traditions for cadres, party members and people, especially the young generation today and tomorrow.

Launching the publication "Yearbook of Vietnamese Heroic Mothers of Ca Mau Province" - a meaningful work, crystallizing the sentiments, responsibilities and deep gratitude of the Party Committee, government and people of the province towards thousands of heroic mothers of Ca Mau homeland.

According to Chairman Pham Thanh Ngai, Ca Mau is the southernmost land of the country, has a strategic geo-economic position, and is the gateway to the East Sea of the Mekong Delta. This position will be strengthened more strongly than ever thanks to the completion of infrastructure, especially 11 works and projects put into operation along with key national works and projects in the province: Can Tho - Ca Mau, Ca Mau - Dat Mui, Dat Mui - Hon Khoai Expressway; Hon Khoai dual-use port, Ca Mau airport are being urgently deployed...
