• Ensuring travel safety during the 2024 holiday and summer season.
  • Strengthening tree management to prevent tree falling during the rainy and stormy season
  • More worries during the rainy and stormy season.

On the morning of September 3rd, Mr. Hoang Van Cuong, Director of Hoa Binh 1 Wind Power Plant (Vinh Hau commune), stated that the unit had proactively suspended receiving visitors due to bad weather conditions. Specifically, we do not take visitors to tour the offshore turbine towers when wind speeds reach level 5 or higher (equivalent to 10-12 m/s).

"At the same time, if it rains accompanied by thunder and lightning, sightseeing activities such as electric vehicle tours and boat trips in the forest will be temporarily suspended to ensure the absolute safety of tourists ," Mr. Cuong said.

The Hoa Binh 1 Wind Farm tourist area in Vinh Hau commune will temporarily suspend electric vehicle services in case of strong winds, rain, and thunderstorms.

In Hung Hoi commune, local authorities are also aggressively implementing safety measures at the Hung Thien Pagoda spiritual tourism site. Mr. Tu Minh Phuc, Secretary of the Commune Party Committee, stated: “The Party Committee has directed the Commune Police to review the number of boats transporting tourists on the river to the pagoda; strictly inspect operating conditions, especially the provision of life jackets on the vessels. In particular, we require boat owners to absolutely refrain from operating during heavy rain, and we have also erected ropes and placed warning signs at points where erosion is encroaching on the riverbank.”

Authorities have placed warning signs in the landslide area on the road leading to Hung Thien Pagoda.

Previously, in strict compliance with Directive No. 11 dated April 21, 2025, of the Prime Minister on strengthening measures to ensure safety and security for tourists, the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Ca Mau province issued a document requesting relevant units to develop specific response plans.

This emphasizes the absolute prohibition of using unregistered, uninspected, or unsafe vehicles to transport passengers; and also highlights the need to enhance management and supervision to prevent risks to tourists, especially in tourism products with adventurous elements or those that pose potential risks to life and health.

Ca Mau tourism authorities are proactively implementing plans and measures to ensure the security and safety of tourists.

In addition to direct solutions at the destination, many other support activities are also being implemented simultaneously. For example, authorities are organizing tree trimming in the inner city area of Bac Lieu ward – a hub for many tourist attractions – to prevent trees from falling during storms. These actions not only demonstrate a sense of responsibility but also contribute to strengthening trust and building an image of Ca Mau as a safe and friendly destination in the hearts of tourists.

Tree trimming in the inner city area of Bac Lieu ward aims to prevent accidents during storms and heavy rain.
