Singer Nguyen Ngoc Anh has just released the album Loi Hen Uoc, marking the journey of more than two decades of perseverance of the singer from the Mining land and his desire to renew himself through diverse musical nuances.
The Promise was released after the albums Wonderful World (2007), Late Blooming Flower (2011) and From the Heart (2016). In 2022, she returned with the duet album Gently Singing Old Love with her husband, singer To Minh Duc.
Although still appearing regularly on stage, Nguyen Ngoc Anh does not release albums often because he is a meticulous artist, always meticulous, searching and determined to follow his own path instead of following market trends.

"I made this album as a promise to the audience, who always love and follow me. I hope these songs will be in everyone's daily playlist," the singer expressed.
She also admitted that in the digital age, releasing albums is no longer the choice of many artists due to the high cost and low commercial efficiency. However, for her, this is a way to return to herself: "Making an album helps me relive my youth, to burn myself out with music. It is also the asset I want to leave to my children - the most beautiful things of my mother in music".
The album Loi Hen Uoc consists of eight songs, with a Pop style that blends Rock, R&B, Ballad, Retro and City Pop. Three of them are new compositions by musician Ho Hoai Anh, including Khep lai do dang - whose MV was released in September, along with two other songs: Dong sang dich mong - a duet between Nguyen Ngoc Anh and Tung Duong, and a Pop Ballad song that is her forte.
According to the singer, Ho Hoai Anh has "regained his form" and is full of creative energy after personal events. "For an artist, those are rare moments. I was very touched when I saw him write for me with all his emotions," she said.
There is also an interesting relationship between the two. While being a judge of the Talent Rendezvous 2025 contest, Nguyen Ngoc Anh happened to hear the song Last Waltz by young composer Hekii - Nguyen Bao Ngoc, a student of Ho Hoai Anh. She loved the song from the first time and planned to buy the copyright. Unexpectedly, Ho Hoai Anh knew her intention and helped her realize that. The female singer jokingly said: "Not only is there a relationship with musician Ho Hoai Anh, but also with his student."

The female singer shared more about the reason for collaborating with musician Ho Hoai Anh: "I often dream about musician Ho Hoai Anh, I don't know why (laughs). When I commissioned the song, musician Ho Hoai Anh composed cheerful love songs because I was in a happy marriage, but he gave me a song that was relatively sad and haunting. However, I took inspiration from Ho Hoai Anh's sad story in the past to sing, and I really sympathized with the music and lyrics of the work."
As for musician Ho Hoai Anh, he assessed that Nguyen Ngoc Anh had made a strong change in her singing style: "Ngoc Anh is renewing her voice to be closer to young audiences. I also have to adjust my writing style, and work with her to find a common voice in the studio."
In addition to Ho Hoai Anh, Loi Hen Uoc also features musician Pham Thanh Ha - owner of the hits Tinh Yeu Mau Nang, Dua Nhau Di Troi, Bua Yeu . To Nguyen Ngoc Anh, Pham Thanh Ha is "a talented, creative and precious younger brother in both music and life".
A special mark in the album is the role of To Minh Duc - Nguyen Ngoc Anh's husband. He not only participated in the duet but also took charge of producing, arranging and composing the theme song Loi Hen Uoc .
In particular, the song Dong Sang Di Mong is the first collaboration between Nguyen Ngoc Anh and Tung Duong - the singer known as Divo of Vietnamese music.
"I have long idolized Tung Duong, I like the way he lives and his passion for music. When I am with Tung Duong, I feel like I am filled with positive energy. If I say I follow Tung Duong's example, it is true - because he is the person I admire," Ngoc Anh shared.

To To Minh Duc, she expressed her deep gratitude: "He is not only my life partner but also the one who helped me change my musical thinking. The scariest thing for an artist is looking back after twenty years and still standing still. Anh Duc has been persistent in 'slow and steady wins the race', helping me open my heart to something new . Thanks to that, I have today's Promise ."
Singer To Minh Duc proudly shared about the journey with his wife to make a new album. He compared himself to a "coach" in the studio, who helped his wife change the way she expressed her music: "Actually, to change a habit, only the artist himself can do it. But in this album, in addition to the role of producer, I see myself as a coach, the one who changes my wife's playing style. During the recording days, my wife and I talked and argued until our voices were hoarse, but in the end, I was very proud to have helped my wife find a new way of singing, a new emotion."
Nguyen Ngoc Anh was born in 1981 in Quang Ninh, won the Gold Medal of the National Voice in 1999, Third Prize of the Hanoi Young Voice in 2001 , Second Prize of Sao Mai in 2005 for light music and entered the top 5 of Sao Mai rendezvous in 2006. She has released albums such as Autumn, Brothers and Rainy Night, Late Blooming Flower, Wonderful World - making an impression with her clear, emotional soprano voice.
At the age of over 40, Nguyen Ngoc Anh still maintains her radiant appearance and creative aspirations. She admits that she is "no longer young", but that is what makes her cherish every moment on stage: "The time for me to sing in the true sense of a pop artist has been shortened. Therefore, I want to make more products when I still have enough health and emotions to sing".
She said, after many ups and downs, the most precious thing in life is not fame or money but health and youth: "Sometimes I just wish I were twenty years younger so I could sing a lot. Many songs now sound too young, I still want to try, but when I sing them I feel choked up...".
