Whales continue to appear in Nha Trang Bay

On the afternoon of July 28, Mr. Dam Hai Van, Head of Nha Trang Bay Management Board (Khanh Hoa province) confirmed that a whale had just been seen by tourists in the Hon Mun sea area, Nha Trang Bay.

Specifically, on the same morning, tourists encountered and recorded a whale emerging from the water to hunt, surrounded by a flock of seabirds circling, creating a beautiful scene.

Less than a week ago, people also saw a whale appearing near this area. “This is a rare phenomenon, never recorded in many years, showing that the marine environment of Nha Trang Bay is recovering very well,” said Mr. Dam Hai Van.

As reported by SGGP Newspaper, at noon on July 22, people discovered and recorded a whale surfacing and diving into the water, appearing for about 10 minutes and then leaving in an area located on Hon Rom, near Hon Mun.

Recently, Khanh Hoa, Gia Lai, and Dak Lak provinces have also recorded the appearance of whales, especially from June 2025 to present, attracting the attention of many people. The frequent appearance of whales shows that this area has a clean, quiet marine environment and abundant food sources.
