Local newspapers have become a source of information.

The report presented at the conference stated that in 2023, local press agencies and resident reporters in the province made significant efforts in fulfilling their duties. The direction and management of the press were strengthened and underwent innovations, yielding practical results.

Press agencies have focused on improving content quality and innovating in presentation style using new, modern interfaces. The quality of information in the press is increasingly improving, reflecting comprehensively, truthfully, and from multiple perspectives, meeting the diverse needs of the people.

Local newspapers, especially online newspapers, are gradually becoming the main source of official information for websites and social media platforms of agencies, units, and organizations in the province. In particular, local media outlets have maintained and effectively promoted sections dedicated to protecting the Party's ideological foundation and combating false and hostile viewpoints in the new situation.

Actively and proactively combating and refuting the distorted views, arguments, and " peaceful evolution" schemes of hostile forces in cyberspace. The permanent offices, bureaus, and teams of central, provincial, and city-level reporters stationed in the area have closely followed local developments, quickly grasping information and reflecting on political events, major holidays, and socio-economic, defense and security, and Party building activities, promptly addressing issues of public concern in the area.

The press agencies continue to work together with the province to comprehensively and effectively disseminate information across all fields.

The way statements are made and information is provided to the press in some units is not good.

Besides the achievements, journalistic work in 2023 still had some limitations such as: the dissemination of the Party's policies and guidelines lacked depth in some aspects and content; the number of articles with critical analysis, forecasting, constructive contributions, and those addressing corruption and negative practices, reflecting "hot" issues in society, although increased compared to before, was still not significant; the infrastructure serving the activities of local press agencies was still limited; some agencies, units, and localities did not adequately fulfill their responsibilities in speaking to and providing information to the press...

The conference devoted a significant portion of its time to delegates exchanging and sharing experiences aimed at improving the effectiveness of information and communication work; solutions for building multimedia and multi-platform journalism in line with modern journalistic trends; the necessity of strengthening coordination between media agencies and localities, departments, and sectors to help guide public opinion on sensitive issues arising in the area, thereby conveying timely, complete, and accurate information about the socio-economic development tasks of the locality. Simultaneously, it analyzed and identified trends and challenges in current journalistic activities to determine key tasks and solutions for 2024.

The press agencies continue to work together with the province to comprehensively and effectively disseminate information across all fields.
