Noi Bai Air Catering Joint Stock Company, a unit specializing in providing meals and milk tea on flights, has just announced its financial report for the second quarter of 2025.
Accordingly, net revenue in the quarter reached over VND201 billion, up over 24% over the same period. Accumulated in the first 6 months of the year, net revenue was nearly VND410 billion, up 20%, while net profit reached VND33.4 billion, up over 22%.
The company's management said that in the past three months, output serving domestic and foreign airlines has increased, thanks to travel demand during the peak season.
In addition to its main business of airline catering, the company also provides food and beverage services for events and conferences. This enterprise is currently owned by Vietnam Airlines Corporation with more than 60% of its charter capital.
Another business in the non-aviation sector is Noi Bai Cargo Services Joint Stock Company, which specializes in providing cargo transportation services.
In the first half of this year, the company recorded double-digit growth, with net revenue reaching more than VND 520 billion and after-tax profit of more than VND 149 billion (an increase of more than 31% over the same period in 2024).
In the southern region, Tan Son Nhat Airport Services Joint Stock Company (Sasco), a provider of services such as lounges and duty-free shops at the airport, also recorded positive business results in the last quarter.
Sasco's net revenue in the second quarter of 2025 reached more than VND770 billion, bringing the total revenue in the first half of this year to more than VND1,530 billion. The company reported a net profit of VND221 billion, while in the first 6 months of 2024 it only reached more than VND140 billion.
Of which, the duty-free store segment brought in more than VND245 billion in revenue in the second quarter of 2025. Followed by the lounge segment, which reached more than VND216 billion, with a cost of only about VND36 billion.
Sasco’s shareholder structure has been concentrated for many years. Many people often compare it to the company of Mr. Johnathan Hanh Nguyen’s family. However, in reality, the Imex Pan Pacific Group (IPP), owned by Mr. Johnathan Hanh Nguyen’s family and related parties, only holds about 45% of the charter capital.
This ratio is lower than the 49% ownership of Vietnam Airports Corporation (ACV).
In the first half of this year, Vietnam's tourism industry welcomed nearly 10.7 million international visitors, up about 21% over the same period last year.
Vietnam plans to welcome 22-23 million foreign visitors this year. To achieve this figure, the tourism industry needs to attract more than 11.3 million visitors in the second half of the year. According to tradition from 2019 until now, the number of international visitors often increases in the last months of the year when there are holidays.
