University and college admissions timelines in 2026

In 2026, candidates will register and adjust their university and college admission wishes from July 2 to 14, 2026; after that, training institutions will announce the admission results to candidates before August 13, 2026.

The Ministry of Education and Training has issued a Plan to implement university and college admissions in 2026 according to Decision No. 3037/QD-BGDDT dated November 3, 2025. Based on the plan, training institutions including universities, academies, colleges and junior colleges that train preschool teachers, candidates and related parties must synchronously deploy and proactively develop specific plans for their units and individuals to ensure that the 2026 admissions take place safely, seriously, objectively and in accordance with regulations.

The specific timeline for university and college admissions in 2026 is as follows:

November 10, 2025 : The Ministry of Education and Training completes the issuance of the enrollment plan; Departments of Education and Training review and update the list of priority areas and priority subjects.

February 15, 2026 : Training institutions complete the announcement of enrollment information on the training institution's website.

May 15, 2026 : Units of the Ministry of Education and Training complete training on Admission Regulations, Admission Reporting System; Testing training on the software of the General Admission Support System

May 25, 2026 : Departments of Education and Training complete the establishment of the Steering Committee for enrollment support work

May 30, 2026 : Training facilities complete updating training facility information into the system

From June 17 to June 21, 2026 : Candidates practice registering and adjusting admission wishes on the system

From July 2 to 5:00 p.m. on July 14, 2026 : Candidates register and adjust admission wishes

From July 15 to 5:00 p.m. on July 21, 2026 : Candidates pay admission fees online

5:00 p.m. on August 21, 2026 : Candidates complete the first round of online admission confirmation

5:00 p.m. June 6, 2026 : Complete checking of high school academic results (report cards) on the system

From June 17 to 21, 2026 : Candidates practice registering and adjusting admission wishes on the system

Before June 30, 2026 : Departments of Education and Training complete training on enrollment work in localities

From July 2 to 5:00 p.m. on July 14, 2026 : Candidates register and adjust admission wishes

July 8, 2026 : Completion of providing input quality assurance thresholds for teacher training, health, and law sectors

From July 15, 2026 to 5:00 p.m. on July 21, 2026 : Candidates pay admission fees online

From August 4 to 5:00 p.m. on August 10, 2026 : Units of the Ministry of Education and Training process applications on the system.

Before 5:00 p.m. on August 13, 2026 : Training institutions will notify candidates who passed the first round of admission.

Before 5:00 p.m. on August 21, 2026 : Candidates complete the first round of online admission confirmation

From August to December 2026 : Training institutions will consider the next admission rounds and update the list of admitted and enrolled candidates according to regulations.
