Located at the foot of Truong Sinh Mountain in Luong Ngoc village, Cam Luong commune (Cam Thuy district), the Cam Luong Fish Stream Tourist Area is a masterpiece bestowed by nature upon this land. Here, visitors can not only admire schools of fish swimming freely in the Ngoc stream, but also experience many traditional cultural aspects of the Muong ethnic group, admire the majestic beauty of Truong Sinh Mountain, and explore the beauty of the Cay Dang cave with its colorful stalactites. Visiting the Cam Luong Fish Stream Tourist Area on the 8th day of the 1st lunar month, visitors can also experience the Khai Ha Festival. This is one of the major festivals of the Muong ethnic group in Cam Thuy district, associated with the sacred fish stream and the legend of the founding of the village and the establishment of the Muong community. It commemorates the snake god who saved the villagers from danger and bestowed the cool stream, providing them with water for daily life and production. Today, the Khai Ha festival is not only a cultural activity of the Muong ethnic people in Cam Luong commune but also a place for cultural exchange and activities among ethnic groups in Cam Thuy district. In 2019, the Cam Luong Fish Stream Tourist Area was recognized as a provincial-level tourist area by the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee.

In order to attract tourists to Cam Luong Fish Stream Tourist Area, in recent times, Cam Thuy district has promoted investment attraction, focusing on infrastructure investment, landscape and environmental improvement; propagandizing and mobilizing people to preserve and promote traditional cultural values; encouraging households to participate in developing tourism services. Paying attention to investing in building infrastructure to serve tourism development, such as parking lots, bridges to Cam Luong commune, roads to Cam Luong Fish Stream... Thanks to that, the number of tourists to Cam Luong Fish Stream Tourist Area is increasing. According to the report of the Department of Culture and Information of Cam Thuy district, from the beginning of the year to May 15, 2024, Cam Luong Fish Stream Tourist Area welcomed about 100,000 visitors.

In the coming time, Cam Thuy district will continue to focus on investing in infrastructure construction, creating new landscapes at Cam Luong God Fish Stream Tourist Area, such as: building rest stops, bamboo huts near the road to Cay Dang cave; building an eco-resort; designing landscapes, building a trekking route starting from outside Cay Dang cave along Ngoc stream to explore Truong Sinh mountain, 2km long; building sightseeing spots, stopping along Ngoc stream and Truong Sinh mountain...

Along with Cam Luong fish stream area, in recent times, Cam Thuy district has invested in building infrastructure, renovating and embellishing many relics, such as: traffic roads to Cung temple (Cam Tu); Muot village communal house (Cam Thanh), Dieu Son cave (Cam Van)... Historical relics and scenic spots have been invested in infrastructure, renovated and embellished, increasingly promoting their value, attracting a large number of people and tourists from all over to visit, sightsee, pray for blessings and peace, contributing to meeting the needs of religious and cultural activities and promoting tourism development in Cam Thuy district.

Mr. Tran Duc Hung, Vice Chairman of Cam Thuy District People's Committee, said: Identifying tourism as one of the key economic sectors, the district has developed a project to develop Cam Thuy tourism until 2030. Accordingly, Cam Thuy district sets a goal of striving to become a key tourism area of Thanh Hoa province by 2025, welcoming 461,200 domestic visitors and 530 international visitors or more; by 2030 welcoming 812,700 domestic visitors and 2,000 international visitors. To achieve the above goal, Cam Thuy district is focusing on reviewing and supplementing the development planning of new tourist areas and spots into the district's general planning. Mobilize and integrate State investment capital sources to develop transport infrastructure connecting tourist destinations in Cam Luong communes (Muong community tourism site in Luong Ngoc village and Cam Luong eco-tourism resort), Cam Thach (Dragon Pagoda flower valley), Cam Binh (Rainbow farm, vermicelli making village), Cam Lien (Ngoc Lien village community tourism site, Hich hill eco-tourism and spiritual resort). Encourage and create all favorable conditions for investors to survey and find investment opportunities in the locality, especially in the tourism and service sectors.
