TPO - The project to complete the Chùa Bộc - Thái Hà intersection is nearing completion, and is expected to alleviate traffic congestion in this currently busy traffic hotspot.

The project to complete the Chua Boc - Thai Ha intersection was approved by the Hanoi People's Committee in 2014. The project was subsequently adjusted and approved by Decision No. 8006/QD-UBND dated November 17, 2017, and Decision No. 4437/QD-UBND dated October 2, 2020. After more than 10 years, the project is gradually taking shape.

The project has a total investment of over 535 billion VND. Of which, more than 470 billion VND is allocated for land clearance, covering an area of ​​approximately 0.98 hectares. The project runs from the gate of the Banking Academy, through the intersection, along Tay Son street, and ends at the gate of the Trade Union University.

According to our reporter's observations, after more than a year of construction, the land clearance for the first quarter of the project has been completed, the road has been paved, and vehicles can now travel through the area.

The project has a total length of 521.03m, with a road width of 23-30m.

The project is completing the final items such as paving sidewalks, drainage, lighting, and landscaping.

To facilitate the Chua Boc - Thai Ha intersection project, the Hanoi City Traffic Construction Investment Project Management Board has proceeded with the demolition of houses within the planned area.

This land clearance area includes 110 households that are subject to relocation under the planning scheme.

Many houses have been haphazardly demolished next to the project.

Although it has been built, the road surface is still rough, with many uneven sections and numerous cracks.

The project is expected to be completed by August 30, 2024, as directed by the Hanoi City government.
