TPO – Trung Phuong village, Duy Hai commune, Duy Xuyen district ( Quang Nam ) has suffered from serious landslides and erosion for many years. The waves have eaten deep into the mainland, swallowing many structures and houses, leaving the coastline devastated and in disarray.

The landslide damaged many houses and felled trees. Some households stayed because they could not agree on a relocation plan. If they moved to a new place with only 100 square meters of land and 20 million VND, they would not be able to build a house. |

Every year, people gather together to shovel sand, build embankments, and pile bamboo poles to block waves. Recently, a local resident has called for the construction of a solid embankment to block waves and protect property. |
