In response to a reporter's question from Vietnam Television about how the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front has provided the highest level of support, the fastest, most timely, and directly to the people in recent days, Vice Chairman Truong Thi Ngoc Anh said: With the highest and most urgent spirit of support to promptly assist people in provinces affected by storms and floods, immediately after the Politburo meeting (afternoon of September 9th), on September 10th, the Party Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front held an emergency meeting. In this spirit, the Standing Committee of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, together with the Front's member organizations, with the core being political and social organizations, unanimously agreed to advise and propose to the Presidium of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front to launch a widespread campaign to encourage people nationwide and Vietnamese people abroad to share their support with people in localities affected by storms and floods.

In less than three hours, following the directive from the Party Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, at 3 PM on September 10th, the Presidium of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front organized the launching ceremony with the presence of Party and State leaders, and General Secretary and President To Lam attended and witnessed the ceremony.
Vice Chairwoman Truong Thi Ngoc Anh shared that it was extremely touching that, in a very short time, the Central Relief Campaign Committee had received a huge number of registrations and support from numerous organizations, individuals, businesses, philanthropists from localities across the country, overseas Vietnamese, and religious organizations contributing to the Vietnam Fatherland Front.
In the spirit of supporting those affected by floods and storms, the Fatherland Front Committees of provinces and cities nationwide have organized campaigns to raise funds and support for people in flood-affected areas. As of 5 PM on September 14th, the total amount of funds transferred to the Central Relief Fund account reached 1,001 billion VND. Just four days after the campaign was launched, the amount of donations increased rapidly, from over 400 billion VND to over 1,000 billion VND.
During the program, in response to a reporter's question about relief efforts and assistance for flood-affected areas, the question was raised: "Enthusiasm and passion alone are not enough; understanding, coordination, rationality, and transparency are also necessary. How essential is this in the current context?" - Vice President Truong Thi Ngoc Anh affirmed that this is crucial, especially understanding in relief work. Regarding support, the Fatherland Front maintains transparency so that people nationwide are fully aware of all support for flood-affected areas when channeled through the Vietnam Fatherland Front.
Therefore, the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front has implemented measures to publicly disclose the support of philanthropists and individuals by compiling and publishing on mass media the amount of funds contributed, the amount of money, and the goods provided to people in areas affected by natural disasters, storms, and floods.

According to Vice President Truong Thi Ngoc Anh, the Central Relief Campaign Committee has coordinated with banks where donation accounts are opened to compile statements of contributions from philanthropists, organizations, and individuals sent to the Vietnam Fatherland Front. The Front considers this a public act to inform people nationwide about the amount of money the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front has received each day and hour, thereby spreading noble gestures and the compassion and sharing of people across the country towards those affected by floods and storms.
From the funds raised, the Central Relief Campaign Committee has promptly and effectively provided support to localities. In the first phase (September 13th), the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front transferred 388 billion VND to localities. It is expected that on the following Monday (September 16th), the Front will continue with a second phase of support based on the extent of damage in each locality.
The support from people across the country will soon be sent by the Central Relief Campaign Committee to the localities affected by Typhoon No. 3 to help people stabilize their lives as soon as possible. The challenge is to implement the support most effectively for those affected by the storm and floods. This means ensuring that the support is timely and rapid so that people can quickly return to normal life.

While initial support in the form of essential goods and materials is necessary, it's time we provided more long-term assistance so that people can rebuild their homes, reconstruct their fields, stabilize their lives, and resume production.
Through local Fatherland Front organizations and associations, the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front will directly transfer the donated funds to the affected areas so that people have more resources to focus on overcoming the consequences of the storms and floods.
"I think that the contributions and support from organizations and individuals, beyond their material significance, are more importantly about the heartfelt compassion and the millions of hearts united in supporting our compatriots in the flood-stricken areas, giving them more motivation to overcome the consequences of the natural disaster and stabilize their lives as soon as possible," Vice Chairman Truong Thi Ngoc Anh affirmed.
During the live television program "Towards our compatriots in flood-stricken areas" broadcast by Vietnam Television, many people contributed and provided direct support. By the end of the program, the amount of donations channeled through the Central Relief Campaign Committee's account had increased to 1,052.6 billion VND.
