Can Tho: Hundreds of officials were disciplined after the conclusion of the Government Inspectorate

(NLDO) - Following the conclusion of the Government Inspectorate, Can Tho City has reviewed hundreds of officials, including 66 people under the authority of the City People's Committee Chairman.

On October 16, at the press conference, the third quarter of 2025, Mr. Truong Canh Tuyen, Chairman of Can Tho City People's Committee, informed about the implementation of Conclusion No. 138/KL-TTCP dated April 17 on "Conclusion of inspection of planning work and implementation of construction planning, construction investment management and land management and use" of the Government Inspectorate .

According to Mr. Truong Canh Tuyen, Can Tho City seriously implemented the above conclusion and organized a review.

"For leaders under the authority of the Chairman of the City People's Committee according to the policy of the Standing Committee of the City Party Committee, the city has organized a review of 66 comrades. As for the directors of the presiding departments, there are many reviews, about several hundred, in the form of warnings, reprimands, criticisms, and experience reviews," Mr. Truong Canh Tuyen emphasized.

In addition, the Government Inspectorate also requested the city to review all projects. Up to now, 51 projects have been reviewed and divided into groups. This is being submitted to the City Party Committee and the Standing Committee of the City Party Committee for implementation solutions in the coming time.

According to conclusion 138, regarding land use management, the Government Inspectorate concluded that the Director of the Department of Natural Resources and Environment (formerly) issued 2,051 land use right certificates to 23 economic organizations to implement 26 projects with long-term land use terms, which violated the provisions of Article 126 of the 2013 Land Law; violated the regulations in issuing first-time land use right certificates detailing each small plot of land according to the planning drawings when the project had not yet completed the technical infrastructure and social infrastructure systems.

During the inspection period, the land price list issued by the People's Committee of Can Tho City was not close to the market price and the People's Committee of Can Tho City did not promptly adjust and supplement the land price list when the common land price in the market fluctuated greatly, which was not appropriate...
