At the meeting, Chairman of the People's Committee of Thua Thien Hue province Nguyen Van Phuong affirmed that the province has always paid attention to investing, preserving and promoting cultural values. The biggest goal is to soon turn the whole province into a centrally-run city in the spirit of Resolution 54 of the Politburo .

Mr. Hoang Viet Trung, Director of the Hue Monuments Conservation Center, said that in recent times, the Center has restored hundreds of monuments; restored many royal court music pieces; and strengthened foreign affairs and international and domestic cooperation.

The center also promotes cultural exchange, preserves many important documents; scientific research associated with restoration and collection work; builds cultural management and restoration using information technology.

Comrade Nguyen Trong Nghia, Secretary of the Party Central Committee, Head of the Central Propaganda Department, spoke at the working session with Thua Thien Hue province on the morning of November 13.

According to UNESCO's assessment, the conservation of Hue's heritage is currently moving into a phase of stability and sustainable development. The conservation of cultural heritage values is always closely linked to the process of exploiting, promoting and facilitating the socio-economic development of the province and the region, focusing on tourism and service economy.

The Hue Monuments Conservation Center coordinated with local authorities and functional agencies to relocate residents and clear the site of area 1 of the Hue Citadel relic, including 11 areas with about 5,190 households; the total investment in site clearance is about 2,005 billion VND. Phase 2 (from 2023-2025) will continue to relocate about 1,287 households, with a total investment in site clearance of about 664 billion VND.

Assessing the work of preserving and promoting the value of relics, Head of the Central Propaganda Department Nguyen Trong Nghia affirmed that the Party Committee, government and people of Thua Thien Hue province have maintained harmony between economic development and culture with many good practices and effective models and should continue to promote them in the coming time; effectively implement general strategies and resolutions on culture... with the goal of contributing to soon turning Thua Thien Hue into a centrally-run city according to Resolution 54 of the Politburo.
