On the afternoon of September 13th, according to information from the Trade Remedies Department of the Ministry of Industry and Trade , on September 5th, 2024, the Canada Border Services Agency (CBSA) issued its final conclusion on the anti-dumping investigation against steel wire originating from or exported from China, Egypt, and Vietnam.
Accordingly, the dumping margins for these companies are determined as follows:
Currently, the Canadian International Trade Tribunal (CITT) is determining the damage to the domestic industry and is expected to issue its conclusion on October 4, 2024.
Previously, on March 8, 2024, the Canada Border Services Agency (CBSA) initiated an anti-dumping investigation into steel wire originating from or exported from China, Egypt, and Vietnam.
On June 6, 2024, the Canada Border Services Agency (CBSA) issued its preliminary findings in the anti-dumping investigation into steel wire originating from or exported from China, Egypt, and Vietnam.
Accordingly, the provisional anti-dumping duties for Vietnamese businesses are the lowest (from 6.1% to 38.9%) compared to Chinese (50.9% - 71.1%) and Egyptian (49.7% - 99.8%) businesses investigated by the CBSA this time.
