According to the Vietnam News Agency correspondent in Bangkok, authorities also stated that the victims did not check in at the same time. Initially, seven people had booked five rooms at the Grand Hyatt Erawan Hotel in Pathum Wan district. According to hotel records, there was one check-in on July 13th and one check-in on July 14th, totaling only five guests who checked into five rooms: four on the 7th floor and one on the 5th floor.
According to hotel information, the victims checked out of four rooms on the 7th floor around noon on July 15th, so all their luggage was concentrated in one room on the 5th floor, where the bodies were found. Around 1:00 PM on July 15th, the victims ordered six meals. However, there were no signs that the victims had touched the food. Nevertheless, authorities found drinks in five teacups placed at the counter and one on the dining table, possibly having been consumed.
Authorities subsequently collected the container, spoons, forks, food, and related utensils for testing.
Lieutenant Colonel Thiti emphasized: "Initially, the investigation team found no signs of a fight, and the victims had no external injuries. The objects were all in place; no dishes were broken."
According to Mr. Thiti, only one victim showed injuries to their face. However, this injury may have resulted from a fall and impact with a hard object, and this was not the primary cause of death.
Mr. Thiti emphasized: "We need to find out the motive for the incident. What we can prove at this time is that the victims did not commit suicide but were murdered by someone else."
Currently, investigators are focusing on examining the victims' bodies to determine the cause of death; they are also investigating the possibility of a seventh person initially registering for the hotel room with the victims. In addition, investigators are collecting CCTV footage from the time the victims disembarked from the plane, as well as from areas near the hotel, to clarify the incident.
