On September 10th, Quang Ninh Regional General Hospital reported that patient LTTH (35 years old, residing in Ninh Chau commune, Quang Tri province) was admitted with severe lower abdominal pain and difficulty with bowel and bladder function. Ultrasound and CT scans revealed an unusually large tumor with bleeding and signs of torsion.

Dr. Nguyen Thi Hien, Deputy Head of the Obstetrics and Gynecology Department, said: "The tumor was roughly the size of a grapefruit, firmly attached to the uterus and sigmoid colon, increasing the complexity of the treatment. If not surgically removed early, the patient could suffer ovarian necrosis, abdominal infection, and even life-threatening consequences."

The surgery lasted nearly two hours. The surgical team removed the tumor, preserved the reproductive organs, and prevented complications. The patient's health is currently stable, and recovery is being monitored.
