(Dan Tri Newspaper) - The Guardian has just published a list of the 60 most promising young talents in the world in 2023. Midfielder Le Dinh Long Vu has been included in this list.

The Guardian is one of the most prestigious newspapers in the UK and the world. Every year, it publishes a list of the 60 most promising talents based on data provided from around the globe.

Notably, in the 2023 list recently published by The Guardian, Vietnamese football has a representative: midfielder Le Dinh Long Vu. The British newspaper commented on the talent of the 17-year-old Vietnamese player: "Vietnamese football produces many technically gifted players with good speed and ball control with both feet. Among them, Long Vu has brought much excitement to fans."

This young midfielder made a particularly strong impression at the U17 Asian Championship and was even called up to the Vietnam U23 team. Long Vũ's speed and dribbling ability have led to comparisons with Manchester City star Phil Foden.

Not every young player reaches their full potential, but with the right coach and a club that has a sound development strategy, Long Vũ can go far in his career."

2023 saw remarkable progress for Long Vũ. The Sông Lam Nghệ An midfielder shone at the U17 Asian Championship, contributing a spectacular goal. Following that, he was part of the Vietnam U23 team that participated in the U23 Asian Championship. Wearing the Sông Lam Nghệ An U21 jersey, he helped the team win the runner-up title at the national U21 championship.

Long Vũ has played for Song Lam Nghe An in a few friendly matches, but he needs to gain more experience to be ready to play in the V-League.

The midfielder, born in 2006, is the second player in the history of Vietnamese football to be included in the Guardian's list of 60 most promising young players. In 2014, Phan Thanh Hau was also honored on this list.

Unfortunately, the player who came through the Hoang Anh Gia Lai youth academy has not been able to develop as expected.
