Speaking at the event, painter Luong Xuan Doan, Chairman of the Vietnam Fine Arts Association, affirmed that "Autumn Figure" shows a Chu Nhat Quang who is courageous, confident, and has a distinct artistic personality.

“Approaching the image of President Ho Chi Minh is an extremely difficult challenge, even our generation encountered many difficulties when composing about Uncle Ho. But Chu Nhat Quang dared to do it and did it thoroughly, that is a very admirable courage”, artist Luong Xuan Doan emphasized.

Here, the Vietnam Fine Arts Association awarded the medal "For the Cause of Vietnamese Fine Arts" to painter Chu Nhat Quang, and announced the decision to specially admit the painter to the Vietnam Fine Arts Association, recognizing his outstanding contributions to the country's art.

Within the framework of the program, there was also an event of licensing the use of paintings to partner units. Two lacquer paintings by artist Chu Nhat Quang, “Linh” and “Tinh Huong”, were successfully sold for 1 billion VND and 100,000 USD (equivalent to nearly 2.7 billion VND).

Mr. Do Tuan Anh, CEO of Appota Company, shared the reason for buying the work “Linh” for 1 billion VND: “As a technology company with a dry workload and high pressure, we consider art, especially lacquer, as a soft and warm shelter. Lacquer paintings by artist Chu Nhat Quang bring us a sense of peace after stressful moments.”

The painting “Tinh Huong” was sold for 100,000 USD and belonged to Mr. Nguyen Quoc Hung, General Director of Hunmed Pharmaceutical Company. The owner of the painting said that the work conquered him from the first moment because of its tranquility and purity.

“The image of a Zen master walking on lotus steps towards the bright moon creates a rare meditative space, both magical and full of positive energy. The traditional lacquer technique is elevated to a new level, sophisticated yet modern, durable enough to be displayed outdoors. “Tinh Huong” brings the positive energy that he wants to spread in the pharmaceutical business environment,” he shared.

Expressing his joy at the reception of his two works “Linh” and “Tinh Huong”, young artist Chu Nhat Quang said that what is more valuable is the companionship of those who support true art, through which the Vietnamese spirit is spread.

The artist said that the work “Linh” recreates a sacred space with a Vietnamese dragon and night boats, and took him more than 8 months to complete. “Tinh Huong” took him more than 2 years, with the body alone taking 3 months to complete.

According to him, buyers are convinced by the strong Vietnamese spirit, philosophy and traditional lacquer techniques combined with modern technology that he pursues.

Coming from a family with three generations of craftsmen, and having worked with lacquer for more than 25 years, painter Chu Nhat Quang considers this material “both mysterious and difficult but absolutely beautiful”. He said the international market is particularly fond of Vietnamese lacquer because of its uniqueness and sophisticated craftsmanship.

Notably, all the money from selling paintings was donated to art projects, autistic children support programs, and an AI project for early autism detection implemented by his family.

Artist Chu Nhat Quang revealed that his next project is a series of paintings "Portraits of President Ho Chi Minh through the ages", combining traditional techniques and new experimental forms.
