National Hero, World Cultural Celebrity Nguyen Trai, whose real name was Uc Trai, lived with his maternal grandfather, the Minister of Justice Tran Nguyen Dan, in Thang Long citadel as a child. After his maternal grandfather passed away, Nguyen Trai returned to Ngoc Oi village, Thuong Phuc district, Thuong Tin prefecture, the old Son Nam town (now Nhi Khe village, Nhi Khe commune, Thuong Tin district, Hanoi city) to live and study with his father. From the poor countryside of Thuong Phuc, Nguyen Trai studied, trained his will, and practiced his talent to serve the king and help the country, becoming a founding hero of the Le dynasty, a person with many contributions to the history of the nation.
Responding to the wishes of all the people and tourists, the Project of the National Hero, World Cultural Celebrity Nguyen Trai Memorial Site was started on November 14, 2022, and has basically completed the main items. The memorial site was built with great enthusiasm by the leaders of Hanoi city, the Party Committee, the government and the people of Thuong Tin district with the aim of honoring and commemorating the great contributions of Mr. Nguyen Trai in his homeland and especiallyeducating the spirit of solidarity, arousing the tradition of patriotism for today's and future generations.
Before the spirit of National Hero, World Cultural Celebrity Nguyen Trai, President Vo Van Thuong and the delegation respectfully offered incense, commemorating the great contributions of Mr. Uc Trai, an outstanding cultural celebrity, a timeless thinker, an outstanding politician, military strategist, and diplomat.
Writing in the guestbook here, the President affirmed that he will always remember the teachings of National Hero, World Cultural Celebrity Nguyen Trai: "The core of humanity is to bring peace to the people", and will make constant efforts with the Party and State leaders to wholeheartedly serve the people and build eternal peace.
The President also attended the Spring Writing Ceremony with the theme: Hanoi Capital: "Cultural - Civilized - Modern" and performed the Spring Writing Ceremony. The Spring Writing Ceremony has long been maintained as a beautiful traditional cultural feature of the Vietnamese people. The Spring Writing Ceremony is a beautiful cultural feature of the famous land of Thuong Tin, which has a tradition of studiousness and mandarin exams. This is a meaningful activity as a command to motivate and encourage all cadres, party members and people in the area to promote learning, compete in labor and production. The first strokes of the New Year often convey wishes for good things, luck and happiness, demonstrating the tradition of respecting teachers and remembering the source of the Vietnamese people, promoting the work of encouraging learning and talent, contributing to promoting the spirit of studiousness and building the intelligence of the Vietnamese people.
Also this morning, President Vo Van Thuong visited and encouraged cadres and workers who are constructing the Ring Road 4 - Hanoi Capital Region. The project has a total length of 112.8km. The starting point of Ring Road 4 connects Hanoi-Lao Cai Expressway, the end point connects Noi Bai-Ha Long Expressway. The project passes through Hanoi, Hung Yen, Bac Ninh, with a total investment of VND85,813 billion and is implemented into 7 component projects, operating independently.
