Speaker of the Hungarian Parliament Kover Laszlo concludes official visit to Vietnam

In the early morning of October 22nd, Hungarian Parliament Speaker Kover Laszlo departed Hanoi, successfully concluding his official visit to Vietnam from October 18th to 22nd, 2025, at the invitation of National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man.

During his visit to Vietnam, Hungarian National Assembly Chairman Kover Laszlo visited President Ho Chi Minh's Mausoleum and laid a wreath at the Monument to Heroes and Martyrs on Bac Son Street, Hanoi .

President Luong Cuong received Speaker of the Hungarian National Assembly Kover Laszlo. Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh met with Speaker of the Hungarian National Assembly Kover Laszlo. National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man hosted the welcoming ceremony and held talks with and hosted a banquet for Speaker of the Hungarian National Assembly Kover Laszlo.

At the reception, meeting and talks, the Vietnamese leaders welcomed the President of the Hungarian National Assembly Kover Laszlo on his official visit to Vietnam; assessing the visit as having important significance, taking place on the occasion of the two countries celebrating the 75th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations (1950 - 2025), contributing to further strengthening the traditional friendship between the two countries in general and enhancing cooperation on the parliamentary channel in particular.

Speaker of the Hungarian National Assembly Kover Laszlo expressed his pleasure in visiting Vietnam again after 10 years; respectfully conveyed greetings from President Sulyok Tamás and Hungarian leaders to Vietnamese leaders; and sincerely thanked the Vietnamese high-ranking leaders and people for their warm, respectful and thoughtful welcome to the delegation.

The two sides assessed economic-trade-investment cooperation as one of the important pillars in bilateral relations, and agreed to promote cooperation in this field commensurate with the trustful political relationship. The two sides also discussed a number of major orientations to develop the bilateral relationship more substantially.

The leaders agreed to continue to increase contacts and exchanges of delegations at all levels, especially high-level ones, through all channels of the Party, State, Government, National Assembly and people-to-people exchanges to further enhance political trust and mutual understanding, as a foundation to promote and expand bilateral cooperation in all fields.

Both sides agreed to strengthen exchanges of high-level parliamentary delegations, specialized committees, and parliamentary friendship groups to exchange and share information and experiences in parliamentary activities; cooperate in monitoring, urging, and supporting the Government in effectively implementing high-level agreements and commitments; agreed on the main theme of the 6th Legislative Seminar between the two Parliaments, scheduled to take place in the first half of 2026; and promote close coordination and mutual support at regional and global inter-parliamentary forums to contribute to peace, cooperation, and development in the region and the world.

On this occasion, Chairman of the Hungarian National Assembly Kover Laszlo and the delegation attended the 10th session of the 15th National Assembly.
