National Assembly Chairman Vuong Dinh Hue meets with the King of Thailand

National Assembly Chairman Vuong Dinh Hue sincerely thanked King Maha Vajiralongkorn and Queen of Thailand for taking the time to welcome them, which was a very special exception, demonstrating the affection and close relationship between the two countries. The National Assembly Chairman respectfully conveyed to the King and Queen the greetings and best wishes of General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong, President Vo Van Thuong, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh and other senior leaders of Vietnam. National Assembly Chairman Vuong Dinh Hue informed the King of the good results of the talks and meetings with the Speakers of the House of Representatives and the Senate, the Prime Minister of Thailand and the signing of the Cooperation Agreement between the two National Assemblies. The National Assembly Chairman expressed his belief that under the wise reign of the King, the National Assembly, the Government and the people of Thailand will continue to achieve greater achievements in national construction and development, playing an increasingly important role in the region and the world . The National Assembly Chairman affirmed that Vietnam always attaches importance to further strengthening the Enhanced Strategic Partnership with Thailand and hopes that the two countries will soon upgrade their relationship to a Comprehensive Strategic Partnership in the near future. The King of Thailand highly appreciated the significance of the visit by National Assembly Chairman Vuong Dinh Hue, emphasizing that Thailand and Vietnam are two close neighbors with long-standing relations, so it is necessary to continue strengthening the relationship. King Maha Vajiralongkorn congratulated the good developments in the relationship between the two countries and congratulated the two National Assemblies on signing the Cooperation Agreement. The King recalled his good impressions of Vietnam during his visits in 1992 and 1997 when he was still the Crown Prince. The King agreed with the National Assembly Chairman's proposal that the King, the Royal Family and the Thai Government continue to create favorable conditions for the Vietnamese community in Thailand, support and develop Vietnamese culture and language in Thailand, including President Ho Chi Minh relic sites, Vietnamese pagodas, Vietnamese streets, and the Vietnam Studies Center.
