Chairman of An Giang Provincial People's Committee Ho Van Mung inspected the progress of the investment project to develop infrastructure of Vam Cong Industrial Park.

On December 3, Alternate member of the Party Central Committee, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the An Giang Provincial People's Committee Ho Van Mung led a working delegation to inspect the progress of the investment project to develop infrastructure of the Vam Cong Industrial Park (My Thoi Ward, An Giang Province). Member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Permanent Vice Chairman of the An Giang Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Thanh Phong accompanied the delegation.

Leaders of T&T Group Joint Stock Company introduced the project.

The project to invest in developing the infrastructure of the Vam Cong Industrial Park is invested by T&T Group Joint Stock Company, with a scale of 193.31 hectares (industrial land 101.95 hectares), with a total investment capital of nearly 2,458 billion VND. 371 households were affected, with a total compensation cost of about 2,500 billion VND.

Leaders of relevant departments and branches have given opinions to remove difficulties of the project.

During the implementation process, the project encountered difficulties and obstacles in site clearance because businesses and investors had not yet transferred the advance payment for site compensation; relevant departments and branches had not yet commented on the mechanism to support temporary housing rental for households eligible for resettlement...

Speaking at the meeting, Chairman of An Giang Provincial People's Committee Ho Van Mung emphasized that in the 2025 - 2030 term, An Giang province strives to increase the industrial production index by 30%. To achieve the above goal, the Provincial People's Committee, departments and branches have reviewed, supplemented and adjusted the planning of industrial parks in the province.

Regarding the Vam Cong industrial park, the Chairman of the An Giang Provincial People's Committee requested My Thoi ward, the Department of Construction, and investors to propose investment plans for connecting roads from the industrial park to My Thoi port in the direction of PPP (public-private partnership investment), BOT ( build-operate-transfer investment) . Requested the Department of Construction and related departments to continue reviewing the planning and implementing the construction of commercial, service, and worker housing projects.

Regarding resettlement arrangements for eligible cases, the Chairman of the People's Committee of An Giang province assigned the Department of Construction in December 2025 to carry out procedures to adjust local planning, combining with adjusting local planning of Binh Duc and Long Xuyen wards according to legal regulations; My Thoi ward coordinates with investors to hand over the site to ensure the correct subjects and legal regulations.

The Chairman of the People's Committee of An Giang province also requested departments and branches to actively coordinate in implementation; during the implementation process, if there are any problems, report directly to the provincial leaders for resolution...
