Stocks tomorrow, August 8: VN-Index hits peak, what should investors do?

(NLDO) – Although the selling pressure in the session of August 7 was not too great, Rong Viet Securities Company predicts that the session of August 8 will have strong competition between supply and demand of stocks.

At the end of the trading session on August 7, VN-Index increased by 8 points (+0.51%)

The stock market continued to maintain its green color when entering the trading session on August 7. The strong increase at the beginning of the session pushed the VN-Index closer to the 1,585-point mark. However, this area created adjustment pressure, causing the market to turn red at the end of the morning session and the beginning of the afternoon session, due to the cautious trading psychology of investors.

However, the selling pressure was not too strong and cash flow continued to flow into the market, supporting many stocks to increase in price at the end of the session. At the end of the trading session, VN-Index increased by 8 points (+0.51%), closing at 1,581 points. The trading value on the HOSE floor reached VND44,159 billion.

According to Dragon Capital Securities Company (VDSC), green still dominates thanks to the increase in many stock groups. Sectors such as banking, insurance, construction - building materials... performed strongly, contributing to supporting the market. On the contrary, stocks of Vingroup group (VIC, VHM) decreased in price, partly contributing to restraining the increase of VN-Index.

VDSC commented that VN-Index is facing obstacles at the resistance zone of 1,585 points. This development shows that the market still has the potential to increase points, but is not really convincing.

This resistance zone may continue to exert pressure in the trading session on August 8. The tug-of-war between supply and demand in this area will greatly affect the next trend of the market.

Meanwhile, VCBS Securities Company commented that the market is showing differentiation between industry groups. Cash flow is focused on stocks that have their own stories or have not increased strongly in price recently.

VCBS recommends that investors should maintain holding stocks that are in a stable uptrend and have not yet been under strong selling pressure. At the same time, investors should select stocks that have shown signs of successfully overcoming resistance to disburse in parts, aiming for short-term investment goals.
