SSI Securities was reprimanded for repeatedly correcting trading errors.

Recently, the Vietnam Securities Depository (VSD) has decided to reprimand the depository member, SSI Securities Corporation (HoSE: SSI).

Accordingly, in June 2023, SSI Securities repeatedly corrected transaction errors at the Ho Chi Minh City Stock Exchange (HoSE).

The Securities Depository Center requires SSI Securities to be responsible for strengthening the control of securities trading activities, ensuring compliance with current regulations to limit errors leading to transaction correction.

It is not uncommon for securities companies to violate the regulation on transaction errors. Previously, in March 2023, the Vietnam Securities Depository also issued a notice of reprimand to Maybank Securities Company Limited and SSI Securities Company Limited for correcting transaction errors four times in February on HoSE.

In early January, the Vietnam Securities Depository also issued a decision to reprimand Ho Chi Minh City Securities Corporation - HSC (HoSE: HCM) for 12 transaction error corrections and Shinhan Securities for 4 transaction error corrections (both in December 2022).

On July 12, the Securities Depository Center issued a warning about fraudsters impersonating VSD to invite investors to sign investment cooperation contracts. Accordingly, the subjects used images of seals and cut and pasted signatures of VSD leaders to forge documents, defrauding investors related to "Securities investment registration dossier at MITRADE Securities JSC".

VSD found that this is an act with signs of defrauding investors by cutting and pasting photos of the seal and signature of VSD's leaders. This is an act with signs of violating the law, illegally using VSD's brand identity, image and information, negatively affecting VSD's reputation and brand.

Vietnam Securities Depository confirms that it has not issued any documents according to the documents sent by investors to VSD.

The Securities Depository Center is investigating the information and will coordinate with the authorities to take measures to prevent and handle violators. VSD warns investors to be cautious and carefully study the information before deciding to invest .
