Digital transformation helps Vietnamese businesses reach out globally

Within the framework of the first Autumn Fair - 2025, on the morning of October 27, at the Vietnam Exhibition Center - VEC (Dong Anh, Hanoi), the Trade Promotion Agency (Ministry of Industry and Trade) organized the Workshop "Upgrading Vietnamese enterprises through digital technology application and connecting to global markets" with the message Go Digital - Go Global (Digital transformation - Reaching international level).

The workshop had the participation and information exchange of many leading e-commerce corporations in the world and Vietnam, along with representatives of many typical Vietnamese export enterprises.

Speaking at the opening of the workshop, Mr. Vu Ba Phu, Director of the Trade Promotion Agency ( Ministry of Industry and Trade ) said: In the context of globalization and the strong Industrial Revolution 4.0, digital transformation has become a key factor, helping businesses improve their competitiveness, expand their markets and participate more deeply in the global value chain.

For Vietnam, digital technology and e-commerce are not only a trend, but have become a new growth driver for exports, helping Vietnamese businesses directly access global consumers, reduce intermediary costs and increase brand value.

“Realizing the importance of that, the Trade Promotion Agency has been implementing many programs to support businesses in applying digital technology in trade promotion, connecting with major e-commerce platforms at home and abroad. Today's conference is one of the key activities in the "Go Digital - Go Global" program series chaired by the Trade Promotion Agency, aiming to accompany Vietnamese businesses on the journey of digital transformation and international integration", Mr. Vu Ba Phu emphasized.

According to Director Vu Ba Phu, the presentations at the conference focused on sharing practical experiences, technological solutions and strategies to access domestic and global markets, thereby helping Vietnamese enterprises find the right path to: Effectively apply digital technology in production, marketing and sales; build prestigious Vietnamese brands in domestic and international markets, especially sustainable development, based on the foundation of innovation and digital cooperation.

The workshop included thematic discussion sessions with content relevant to the needs of the Vietnamese business community such as: Trends in applying digital technology in promoting global trade; Opportunities and challenges for Vietnamese businesses in cross-border e-commerce; Connecting manufacturers with domestic consumers; Online trading connection platform for Vietnamese export enterprises; Safe cross-border payment, optimizing costs for businesses; Digital technology in logistics and supply chain management; Trade promotion on online exhibition platforms; Effective communication solutions on digital platforms; Expansion strategies for the Vietnamese market regarding payment methods.

The workshop is an important forum to help Vietnamese enterprises access global e-commerce trends, improve digital capacity, promote e-commerce applications to expand the national consumption market and expand online export channels. This is an opportunity for Vietnamese enterprises to directly meet, exchange and learn from international experts, and be introduced to support programs to participate in national and cross-border e-commerce platforms.

“The Trade Promotion Agency always actively accompanies businesses, coordinates with domestic and foreign partners to expand the digital trade promotion network, train digital human resources and build a smart export ecosystem, contributing to the implementation of the national digital transformation goal, enhancing the position of Vietnamese goods in the global market,” Mr. Vu Ba Phu affirmed.

The first Autumn Fair - 2025 takes place from October 25 to November 4 at the National Exhibition Fair Center (Hanoi), assigned by the Prime Minister to the Ministry of Industry and Trade to preside over, in coordination with the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, Hanoi People's Committee and other ministries, branches and localities.

The fair is a national-scale economic and cultural event, not only a large trading meeting place, but also a space to honor Vietnamese cultural values, connecting the quintessence of production, creativity and integration.
