Citi appoints Ms. Ngo Thi Hong Minh as General Director in Vietnam market

Ho Chi Minh City – Citi announced the appointment of Ms. Ngo Thi Hong Minh as General Director of Citibank NA, Ho Chi Minh City Branch and in charge of Citi’s overall operations in Vietnam. Ms. Minh becomes the first Vietnamese to hold the position of General Director since the bank began operating in Vietnam more than three decades ago.

Citi has been present in Vietnam since 1993, providing corporations, financial institutions and investors with a comprehensive portfolio of financial products and services. For over 30 years, Citi has been supporting Vietnam's economic development, promoting international trade and supporting the expansion of multinational and domestic enterprises.

In her new role as General Manager of Citibank NA, Ho Chi Minh City Branch and in charge of Citi’s overall operations in Vietnam, Ms. Minh will be the highest representative of Citi, providing unified leadership for all business operations of the bank here. She is responsible for driving Citi’s strategy across all customer segments and product lines, ensuring Citi continues to maintain its leading position as a partner for corporate clients operating in Vietnam.

Ms. Ngo Thi Hong Minh will be directly responsible for the bank’s financial performance, ensuring Citi leverages its global network to deliver the highest value to clients, while strengthening strategic partnerships within Citi’s corporate and institutional banking ecosystem. She will also lead regulatory compliance, oversee governance systems, and drive the implementation of Citi’s global transformation strategies in Vietnam.

In addition, Ms. Minh is responsible for maintaining a strong risk management and control environment, ensuring the highest standards of governance, compliance and ethics, thereby preserving Citi's reputation in the Vietnamese market.

The appointment of Ms. Ngo Thi Hong Minh continues to affirm Citi's long-term commitment to Vietnam, while emphasizing the growing importance of the Vietnamese market within the bank's Asia South market cluster.
