Is there a recurrence of the "overcharging" for parking tickets at Lim festival in Bac Ninh?

On February 6th, the People's Committee of Tien Du district held a press conference for the Lim Spring Festival in the year of the Snake (2025).

According to the People's Committee of Tien Du district, this year's Lim festival will be held in three communes, formerly part of Noi Due district, including Lim town and the communes of Noi Due and Lien Ba, on February 9th and 10th (corresponding to the 12th and 13th days of the first lunar month).

This year's Lim Festival consists of two parts: the ceremonial part and the festive part. Quan Ho folk singing will be performed at the main stage in the center of Lim Hill and at approximately 15 Quan Ho singing pavilions on Lim Hill.

Mr. Ngo Xuan Tinh, Head of the Culture Department of Tien Du District, provided information at the conference.

In addition, Quan Ho folk singing is also performed at communal houses, temples, and the homes of artisans. Traditional folk games such as swing riding, traditional wrestling, blindfolded goat catching, and pot smashing are also organized to serve the entertainment needs of the people.

According to information presented at the conference, Mr. Ngo Xuan Tinh, Head of the Culture Department of Tien Du District and Deputy Head of the Organizing Committee of the Lim Region Festival, stated that last year's Lim Region Festival was very successful, but there were still instances of parking attendants overcharging visitors.

Immediately afterwards, the festival organizing committee held a meeting to summarize the experience, draw profound lessons, and demand that similar situations not be allowed to happen again.

Learning from last year's experience, this year the festival organizing committee has assigned the task of controlling ticket prices and parking areas to the Economic and Infrastructure Department of Tien Du District. Police forces and relevant units will increase supervision, and if the situation recurs, the unit's leaders will be held responsible.

Mr. Ngo Xuan Tinh also shared: The Lim Festival only takes place over two days, especially on the evening of the 12th day of the first lunar month, when more than 13,000 people attended. The festival space was limited, putting pressure on parking areas and compromising traffic safety. The Organizing Committee will continue to implement solutions to ensure traffic safety and security during the festival days.
