At the online consultation program “What candidates need to do after taking the high school graduation exam” organized by Thanh Nien Newspaper on the afternoon of July 2, Master Cao Quang Tu, Director of Admissions at Saigon International University, said that by July 10, universities must upload data on admission results using early admission methods to the Ministry of Education and Training’s information portal. Therefore, the time left for early admission is only about a week.

"Each admission method has different advantages and benefits, suitable for each subject. However, with early admission, students will be able to proactively choose the time frame according to each school. Students also have many choices about majors, schools and receive very careful advice... When admitted early, students also reduce the pressure when taking the high school graduation exam. Therefore, more and more candidates choose the early admission method," said Master Tu.

It is known that in 2024, Saigon International University will recruit 4 new majors including multimedia communications, public relations,educational technology and information technology. "Because it is a new major, successful candidates will receive a 20% tuition discount. The school reserves 50% of the quota for considering transcripts for all majors and 50% for considering high school graduation exam scores and other methods," Master Tu added.

Candidates who took the recent high school graduation exam are waiting for the exam results.

Master Nguyen Tran Ngoc Phuong, Director of Marketing and Brand Development at Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology, also said that once you have been admitted early to the right major and school you love, after the admission system opens, you only need to register as your first choice to be officially admitted. At this point, high or low graduation exam results will no longer affect the admission process.

"If you wait to consider your graduation exam scores, due to the small quota, it is very likely that 'hot' majors will require very high scores and your chances of admission will be low. Currently, schools are still accepting early admission applications, so you should take advantage of this opportunity."

Meanwhile, Master Nguyen Hoang Thien Thu, representative of Vietnam-Germany University, said that the school is also opening the second round of admission based on academic records and will expire on July 8. "The school reserves 70% of the quota for the separate exam and 30% for academic records and high school exam results. It can be said that the quota for the high school score method is not much, so at this time, candidates should submit their academic records to increase their chances of admission," Master Thu analyzed.

Master Ngoc Phuong emphasized that early admission to the major and school of your choice is necessary to avoid missing out on opportunities. In case candidates want to change their preferences later, they can still use their graduation exam results to register in the system.

According to university representatives, candidates admitted by early admission methods also have the opportunity to receive scholarships and tuition support as with the high school graduation exam score method. In addition, the curriculum, tuition fees, facilities, and degrees of all methods are the same.
