Meanwhile, the Vietnamese Engineering Corps is also constructing a smart camp for the Nepalese unit at the UNISFA mission headquarters. Currently, the team has completed 1 out of 18 building modules. It is expected that in the second half of 2024, the team will begin construction on a smart camp project for the Chinese rapid response unit.
In addition, the Vietnamese Engineering Corps has also deployed forces to prepare the ground for the construction of smart camps, digging canals, building embankments, and constructing protective fences around the Pakistani infantry unit's barracks in the Difra area, in the northern Abyei sector.
The team also took advantage of the dry season to open new branch roads and patrol routes, ensuring smooth traffic flow to serve the mission's regular and unexpected missions.
